Second Pair of Socks!

Here’s my second pair of socks that I finished tonight. I did a much better job of lining up the stripes. They are gray, black and red . . love ’em!

Susan had posted some really cool socks she made so I wrote her and asked what yarn she used. She not only told me what yarn it was but sent me a link to an online shop that had it so I placed an order. Of course, it had to be one of those places where you get free shipping if you spend you life savings so I ordered a bit more than just the yarn Susan recommended.

Guess I’ll have to go fondle the yarn and decide which ones to do next. The black tweedy one on the top left was my choice a few minutes ago but I’m now leaning toward the yellow/green on the top right.

I knew I wouldn’t miss by fabric stash once it was packed away! 🙂

I plan on my knitting getting me through this move too! They’re delivering my new longarm on Dec 3rd but it will be be crated for the move and I won’t have it set up until January. I quilted one small donation quilt the other day and hopefully I’ll get a couple more done. Then I can work on some bindings along with my knitting.

I haven’t tried socks but I’m having fun knitting hats and scarves.

Great socks! Do you actually wear these with shoes or are they more like a slipper? I live in a place where warm winter socks are not really needed so I am curious.

Since I’m catching up, as usual, I want to tell you that I am very grateful for what you do for us. I can’t even fathom having to do everything in a day that you do, plus you find time to talk to us. So I say, Thank you.
    BTW, love the socks.

You are going to love that Opal yarn. It is soft and really easy to knit. My pink Socktoberfest socks were made with Magic by Opal using the Jaywalker pattern. Good luck on your move.

Judy do you mind providing the link to Susan’s blog. I found the first knitting post but the link won’t point anywhere because of some sort of error.

I’d also love to know where you bought the yarn too if you’d like to share that link.

    Thanks so much!

I love my yarn stash too and have half a dozen pairs of socks on the go. They are such great little projects to work on when that’s all the brain can cope with from time to time 🙂
