We spent a quiet Fourth of July at home. Vince and Chad went to the lumber yard and came home with a truck load of “stuff”. I think Chad is planning on making another boat . . I hear rumblings of a Viking ship! He and his buddy finished their canoe today and took it over to the friend’s house and put it in the pool and the report is that it floats.
I got a little bit done on my patriotic stars, more sewing and less ripping today.
Finally got a picture of the quilt that I was planning to do for the July Quilt for an Hour project. Anyone want to do this one? If so, what about I post the fabric requirements and cutting instructions tomorrow evening if there’s enough interest and then we can start sewing on Monday. I guess I waited a bit late to get a good picture of the quilt . . with all the black, it kinda just fades away into the dusk. I had taken a picture earlier but it was so bright outside that the colors didn’t look very vibrant. I really need to find a place inside to take pictures.

That looks like fun, has a real 50′s flavor to it. How big is it?
Count me in. I love making quilts with diagonal chains running thru them.
I’m in. I was hoping this would be the quilt. I look forward to doing this quilt.
That is a lovely quilt. I would be interested in making that one too.
I’m in too.
Looks like fun, I’ll have to start digging out fabrics. Maybe I can keep up on this one
I’m in! I love the stars quilt that you are making.
I’m in for the July quilt.
I’ll do it, too. I like this one…and the stars that you are working on now.(hint again-how about for Sept.?)You haven’t done one that I haven’t liked, and no one does borders like you do.
That one with black is dynamite! IF I could I would do it but … too many obligations for now. But I LOVE it.
Yes, I’m definitely going to do this one!
I’m in…I already have my fabric in mind. YIPPEE!
I am in! I too have my fabric on the shelf!
Ahhh, what’s one more project, count me in!!! I think that I might do mine in red, white and black.
I agree with Gail about her hint for the Sept one. Your stars you are working on is gorgeous.
I can’t start it until the giterdun is finished, but hopefully I can catch up with everyone else. I’m in!
You can count me in on the Hour A Day Quilt…….
The Patriotic stars is looking great. I do understand about things going astray……… Happens to me all the time.
Count me in!
Judy-wish I could but this month is just too darn busy. I’ll probably follow along and hope I can make it later-it’s a lovely quilt!
Becca
I really like it, but wanted to do the earlier one first. Now I can not find my notes or the instructions on your blog. I remember the nine patches, the on point and the strips cut, but I can not remember the dimensions. Can you help? Thank you in advance, Karin
I like this one too – 4 patch quilts are a favorite of mine and I like the 3 different sizes. I’m really too busy to play along but I’m going to take a look at my fabric and see if I have anything that works. If so I think I could find time to make a small version
I’m in! I have so many leader/enders I need a PROJECT to sew inbetween! I’m off to stashdive..
I’m going to be away for two weeks of July but will start and then catch up when I return. Stunning quilt!
