Remember When ..

October 21, 2007

Does anyone remember when I was a quilter? It seems like forever ago that I had a quilt related post. I do have a partial quilt on the design wall but there’s not even enough to show. I’m taking “Santa on Speed” to mom’s to work on but I don’t even know if I have all the pieces stuck in the bag . . it’s been so long since I worked on it.

And look at this . .

Mr. Weatherman says it’s going to snow while I’m gone. I sure hope I don’t miss the first snow of the season but it looks like I might!

Hopefully the next time you hear from me, I’ll be in Louisiana .. eating fresh crawfish, crabs, shrimp, maybe a few frog legs and gumbo made by someone besides me! And maybe since my mother waits on me while I’m there, I’ll get some sewing time and have something quilty to report.

Have a great time! I am so envious of all the wonderful food you will experience. I get all those things shipped in from New Orleans, but then I have to cook them myself (though sometimes DH will cook) What a treat to have all that wonderful food cooked for you in the place where it was born!

Enjoy every glorious bite!

Have a safe trip, Judy. ‘Bout the only food that sounds good to me is the shrimp!

I, too, have been too busy to sew – flying all over the country with Senior daughter to look at potential colleges. My daily calendar in said room is stuck on Sept 3.

I laughed when I read your post about “the last time you posted about a quilt story” – I feel the same way when I write and read my own blog – “Do I ever talk about quilting anymore” LOL
