This isn’t a great picture of the W. F. Norman framed tin that I bought today. I’ve been wanting one of these and the truck came to town today so I met them at Interior Motives and this is the one I chose. Vince won’t hang anything for me til I sew a button on his pants. Wimp that he is . . why doesn’t he sew his own darned button on his own darned pants! Honestly, those pants have been waiting for a button to be sewn on for over a month. You can bet it will be back on before dark today! I want this on my walls soon! I’ll post another picture once it’s hung.W. F. Norman is the company that makes the stamped metal ceiling tiles and they’re here in Nevada. How weird is that? My purple house that we built in Louisiana in 1987 had tin ceilings in the dining room and I’m betting they came from W. F. Norman. Actually, if you go to Renovator’s Supply, which is where we got the tin for the purple house, you’ll find the exact same tin as the one I bought framed. I’m really amazed by all this. Doesn’t take much to amuse me, huh?
And, I had this spot over my desk in the kitchen/breakfast area where I had been looking for something to hang. I think Julie, the former owner, had some kind of heart shaped viney wreath hanging there. There were three nails left in the wall and I was thinking I wanted three little pictures of some kind. Every time I go into Interior Motives, I was searching for something that would work and today, this sunshine face with feathery rays jumped right out at me. I was leaning towards putting some of those metal stars there because there are stars in that border but I love this piece.
And, I didn’t take a picture of mine so I borrowed this from the internet. I have to stop buying these oil burners but I love this green one so it came home with me too. OK .. no more oil burners, no more fabric . . I guess I’ll just stay home for the rest of my life!
