Another Casualty of the Move

Edit: After another hour of searching in the garage, I found my pin in the kitchen cabinet . . right where it should’ve been. Imagine that! The dough is chilling now.
For the past two days I’ve been debating with myself about making springerles. I’m the only one in the house who really loves them so you know what that means . . I eat way too many!

This is a picture of some I had made in 2005 that I found on my old blog.

Yesterday I had about convinced myself that I wasn’t going to make them and then I noticed there’s a little bottle of anise oil sitting on my downstairs computer desk. That little bottle has been sitting here for almost a year . . don’t ask me why I never took it up to the kitchen. So, that was all it took to convince me to make the cookies but .. where’s the springerle rolling pin?? There’s no telling! I’ve found my other rolling pins and you would think they would have been together. This morning I spent an hour or so in my frigid garage looking for it and gave up. Just ordered one from and realized the ship date is January 7. That’s not good! I guess I’ll go dig some more in the garage or . . give up on having springerles this year.

Glad it finally surfaced. I spend too much time looking for lost items.

Cookies sound great. I will follow that rabbit trail some other day.

So, are you sending me some? I never did buy one of those rolling pins because I knew I would never use it, lol.

Those are my Mom’s favorite cookies. They are probably the only cookie I don’t like:) We call them tile cookies & tease her for loving them so much:)

I am glad she is not the only one who likes them!
