About those Menus

Kathy left a comment that she misses my weekly menus. I still do them but due to Vince and Chad’s schedules, we’re having a lot of things that can be heated quickly or served on a moment’s notice.

Chad has late class on Monday and Wednesday nights and he doesn’t get home til after 9:30 p.m. I never know if he’s already eaten or if he’s going to hit the door saying “I’m starving!” so I try to fix things that I can heat up real quickly for him on Monday and Wednesday nights.

Tuesday nights Chad and Vince go to wood carving and dinner has to be served and finished so they can walk out the door by 6:15 p.m.

Thursday nights Vince teaches class and has to eat and be gone before 6 p.m.

I doubted anyone would be interested in knowing what we’re having but I will post my menus and if it helps even one of you, that’s a good thing. My best advice is . . plan ahead. Know what you’re having every night for at least the next week and know what you’re going to do with leftovers so there’s no waste.

Here’s my menu for this week:

I did my own menu plan this week, for the 1st time! Only 2 days in and already it is working like a charm! It really does help to have it planned ahead of time so you can do some of the prep all at once.

Thanks for posting this! I always get an idea for something I’ve forgotten to make in a while or a new recipe. I’ve been looking here and in My Lime Green Kitchen! Hugs!

I like seeing your menus, too. It’s fun to get ideas on what to have for dinner.

I agree, it is easier to cook if you have a plan. I used to be better at it than I am now. I am trying, though, to get back in the swing of things.
