Sunday Stash Busting Report

Time to report how you’re doing with stashbusting. Also, I’d like to know how many of you that started our in January with a commitment to stashbusting are still making a big effort and whether you’ve kinda given in already and aren’t so committed to busting the stash. If you truly want to bust the stash, even if you’ve already added more fabric than you hoped you would, re-commit and let’s get that stash busted. We still have 9 full months plus a few days left in 2008. We can doit!

Don’t forget that your link needs to be to your stash reduction post . . not to your main blog page. Links that go directly to your main blog page and not to a specific post will be deleted.

I have another wimpy report. Nothing used, nothing added. For what it’s worth, I did get a large (very large) custom quilt done for a customer and have a smaller one loaded that is next to be done. And, look out for my next week’s report. I’m leaving tomorrow for a week of sewing with friends.

Fabric Added This Week – 0 yards
Fabric Added Year to Date – 41 yards

Fabric Used This Week – 4.25 yards
Fabric Used Year to Date – 61.25 yards

Net year to date: 20.25 yards used

I’m purchasing, but much more thoughtful purchases than I used to make. So I’m committed to reducing the “mass” in my stash room! You have really inspired me!

Your report is great, and I’m sure next week’s report will be dynamite for you! Have fun at the sew-in next week! (Hugs)

I don’t know how much stashbusting I’m doing but everything this week was out of my scrap bins…even the binding on the donation quilt I’m finishing (that was the only bit of my fabric in that quilt!).

I guess it’s still stash even if it’s in little pieces.

Can I jump in on this too? I’m trying to set up my blog and can access most of my Stashbuster posts since Jan, listing approx how many yards I’ve bought. I mainly get them at the thrift store or as $1 special FQs at quiltshows. Please let me know if I can be held accountable too.

I really need to get on the ball and use or get rid of more fabric before Paducah. I don’t see me resisting once I hit the vendors.
