Everyone all set with something on your design wall for this week?
For those who guessed Cosmo Chic by Benartex, that’s what’s on my design wall this week, along with those same border blocks for the Patriotic Star border and the pinwheel blocks that have been up for a year or more.
Last week I had orange blocks on my design wall. It’s now quilted, not bound yet though.
Please share a link to your blog post about what’s on your design wall. And, if you don’t get to til later in the week, please come back to this post and add a link.

I got all the blocks together, and cut out the borders, but they’re not attached yet. Black inner border, then a turquoise blue border, then a wide black border. Just have to get them on. I plan to by next Monday, and also have another top started, or perhaps a top beginning to be quilted.
I don’t use a design wall, but that pile of blocks is my current project. I have 4 more blocks to piece then I grab 2 & sew them together, etc. (When I tried using a design wall, I messed the layout up any way, so I just go with it.)
I almost forgot – 90% of that fabric came from the deep dark recesses of my stash! & It will not have a border. (My border solution…)
This is a great idea. Hopefully it will keep me a bit more focused. I am having a major “Quilters ADD” attack. So many new ideas and the old projects seem kinda…well… old.
I have had my black and white challenge quilt on the design wall for two months but took it down Saturday so now a charity quilt is there. these are just 9 patch blocks, made from 5.5″ squares with a dog fabric in the center. The fabric around the center is from the shirt factory that used to be in our town. I will be putting 1″ sashing and possibly 2″ border on, both in cream. And will add a blue binding if I have enough of that fabric. LOL
Judy, I seem to have posted a link twice. could you delete #9, and this comment?
Maybe now that I’ve declared I’m going to figure out my paper pieceing it will get done.
Pam, I saw the sash block you are doing on your blog post — I tried to leave a comment there but kept getting an “error on page” message.
If you would be willing to cut and piece the sash block rather than paper piece it, you might consider using the “Tri-Recs Ruler” for the split rectangle (the tall skinny corner triangles) and the “Easy Tri-Mate Ruler” for the center diamond (double wide triangle cut on the fold).
My link is what was on the design wall last week. I have the Big Star Stash Quilt top finished and on the design wall now. Happy Day!
And now the Big Star Stash Quilt is posted!
Thanks for the Design Wall Mondays. It was something I had been doing on my blog too so it’s great to see what others have on theirs. Anything to help keep me productive!
How fun to see what everyone is working on! Thanks Judy!
Well the fact that I got the design wall up is an accomplishment. Will see how long it takes me to get the projects off of it. LOL
This is fun…I have really enjoyed seeing what others are working on.
This sounds like fun! I love seeing what everyone is working on.
Well, I’m in, now i have to get to work so there is a change by next
week. Keep pulling for me!
Ann
Oh I just LOVE that orange quilt!!!!
Might it be a quilt along some time soon???
It’s gorgeous!!!
My project has not been touched for over a week! The sun is shining and I’ve been called outside to the yard and garden. Some day soon the rains will start again.
I wish that orange quilt lived at my house. I love it.
Nothing is on my design wall at the moment. I lost my cat two weeks ago (a 22 month old kitten who just suddenly died) who was my constant companion in my sewing room. It has been hard to spend any amount of time in it, but I’m getting there.
I enjoyed cruising around to the blogs last night, so I thought I’d join in the fun and post my design wall too! Hope I did it right!
Well, better late than never…Just posted my “Whats on your design wall Monday”…
This is a great idea, Judy. I ended up sick for a few days last week and may opt out next week as I will still be behind, but….it is motivating me. It’s challenging me to not put too much on my own plate. I’m trying to have fun and not just task myself crazy! I like seeing what other people are planning to work on too. It’s great encouragement to know so many others are out there dreaming of changing yards or scraps of fabric into quilted memories.
Judy, I just couldn’t resist this post. Took me a bit of time to get it posted, but here it is! I have enjoyed looking at everyone’s projects. Thanks for the inspiration, Judy!
Finally got something posted about what is on my design wall. Either I am very late or very early. LOL
Thanks for a great blog!
