Design Wall Monday – September 28, 2009

Early last week I feared I wouldn’t get any sewing time.  I didn’t fear it as in . . couldn’t sleep or couldn’t stop thinking about it but if I had to guess, I would have said I’d have no sewing time at all.  Gone three days and then there’s so much catching up to do even after being gone just three days.  More patterns to print, quilts to organize, etc. for the next trip.  But, as luck would have it, Vince was gone the 2 days I was home so I did get some sewing time.

Borders for dad’s new quilt, which is a larger version of the current Quilt for an Hour project.  I already had 25 blocks done and needed 25 more so I got those done and that border put together.  That’s the extent of my sewing for this week.

What’s on you design wall?

Here is the QFAH. I was working on the dancing 9-patches but got distracted by working on cleaning up the ol’ sewing room and making a journal cover. I was going to try to get another 9-patch done this morning, but sewed the first seam wrong, so it seems I”ll have to settle for the QFAH even though I’ve already posted about it. Like Krista, I’ll post the link here until Mr. Linky get’s his act together. http://edutach.blogspot.com/2009/09/qfah-picture-with-better-lighting.html

Hola amiga, además de lo publicado en hora 1, he cortado hora 2 y 3,ya que me resulta más facil luego hacer un momento para coser.
Estoy disfrutando hacer esta manta, pero mas de sus instrucciones, tanta claridad es admirable.

I’ve succumbed to temptation and have started on your latest QFAH project! 🙂 I hope to make the inner part twice as large so I can make a King sized quilt. I am behind, but I hope to finish this one instead of bagging it half way hoping to pick it up later! 🙂
