Saturday I was teaching a workshop and a lady walked in and introduced herself to me. She said “My name is Elaine. You can remember that because your good friend’s name is Elaine”. That told me that she must read my blog.
Elaine has on the green sweater. She explained to me that she does read my blog and happened to be in St. Louis visiting friends, saw that I was going to be there and made arrangements to take the workshop. I just thought it was so nice that she was there visiting and made an effort to come meet me and take the workshop.
Don’t pay any attention to Darlene and Betsy in the background! I spent the weekend with Darlene and her husband, the practical joker! The first thing Darlene said to me when I walked in the house Friday was “Don’t believe anything my husband says!” She was correct. It was a fantastic weekend . . but I tell you . . my own bed felt really good last night!

Well, how nicee was that for your new friend Elaine to go through all that to meet you.
Judy, will you be at Quilt Market in Houston?
Nope, not going to be at Market this time. Maybe in the spring.
all those ladies look very nice and friendly to me! so glad that you had a good time with your class. I know that Speck was probably overjoyed to see you home again.
I also would have been there if I was in the neighborhood! 8-))
Elaine (Adair), western Nebraska!
You can add me to your list of “Elaines”
Elaine, in Tulsa
That “could” happen more often if you shared your teaching schedule…
If you are close to being ‘in the area’, Judy will be in Wichita, KS, next Tuesday and Wednesday. There are just a few spots still open for her workshop on Wed. Check it out at http://www.pqgks.com—–non Guild members may take the workshop if it is not full, at a fee of $40. Her lectures are Tuesday. Judy, I hope it is okay that I have posted this. I am so excited for you to be here!
the –non is not part of the website addy. It is pqgks.com
I’m always in awe of how many friendships I have formed through this medium. Everyone has been so nice and supportive. It’s a special treat when I get to personnally meet them.
How great that a blog reader made the effort to take your class!!!
In all my life (almost 60 years) I’ve never met this many Elaine’s ever before. lol.
