Week 49, 2009 Stash Report

November 29, 2009

Finally I can report that I’ve used fabric.  I started and finished the Black Friday top, pieced a backing for it and may (fingers crossed) get it quilted today.  The top took 10 yards (according to EQ) and the backing was 5 yards for a grand total of 15 yards used with nothing added.

Used this Week:15  yards
Used year to Date: 431.75 yards
Added this Week: Nothing
Added Year to Date: 452 yards
Net Used for 2009: -20.25 yards

Just a few weeks left this year.  I can hardly wait til 2010 to start over.  I am going to use those 20.25 yards before this year is over though so I can end in the black.  Next year . . you just watch me bust this stash!  :)

Please share a link to your stash report.

I’M SO PROUD OF YOU!
that’s an amazing accomplishment. And with a month yet to go, i have no doubt that you’ll be able to bust that 20.5 yards in nothing flat.

I’m still working away on the Christmas quilts–2 more to quilt and 3 to bind– but i think i can see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Judy, you are amazing .. another 15yds used! You are doing wonderful. I so enjoy following along doing the Challenge is fun. It gets us to think about our purchases and try harder to use from our stash. Thanks for offering this Challenge and I hope you do so again next year. I hope to join another quilt along soon too. Loved doing Bears in the Farmhouse this year and just love at the finished quilt.

Isn’t it great when you get to bust fabric for a backing. It sure makes our numbers look great. Good luck busting that final yardage!

20 yds is nothing, you can do it! Just think, to end the year in the black!

I keep forgetting to say I’m in SD! And I finished the Bear in the Farmhouse quilt, not quite like yours, but I know the recipients liked it.

Mmm… is there 53 Sundays this year? Cuz according to my calendar, it should be week 48? 49 is Dec 6, 50 is Dec 13, 51 is Dec 20, 52 is Dec 27.

Look at it this way, you just GAINED another week to bust stash! :D

Well I actually got to sew last weekend and used from the stash no less. Just haven’t gotten around to updating my little spread sheet to figure out how much. But then there was that stop at the fabric store where I found a great sale and two prints to go with some Christmas quilts found their way into my bag.
