Finish #9

This is definitely a UFO that’s finished!  This one was started way before Weekend Quilts was started.  There’s a version of this quilt in there but I made a whole new one.  I had worked on this quilt when I was at mom’s a couple of years ago.  Now it’s done and going to the guild in Houma, Louisiana to be donated to an orphanage they support.

And, look at that glorious blue Louisiana sky!  It was a warm and sunny and beautiful day . . a fantastic day to be south of the dreary gray days in Missouri!  🙂  This quilt is so appropriately named “Winter Break”.

    Hi Judy
My copy of your new book arrived on Saturday, I am so thrilled with it, and love the idea that it is set out in hourly chunks. I am off to my quilt group for the day and will take it along and sing your praises [ just in case your ears are burning!].

I love it and whoever receives it will too. Another beauty – your borders just make the quilts and this is another example!!

My sister loved the “extra” book that I purchased. She thought it was cool that you autographed it for her. Right away she saw something she wanted to make. Just has to unpack her sewing machines from her move. We went to the Sewing and Stitchery Expo in Puyallup Washington this weekend.

Appropriate name for a cheerful quilt. The outdoor setting really shows it off 🙂 We had rain, wind, and then blue skies over the weekend. Love the rain when it comes in spurts like that, not just socked in for days at a time….

I’m not sure which is prettier, your quilt or that sky! I am so sick of winter.
