The binding made a nice frame for this quilt!

It is a great quilt with simple blocks, the colors made all the difference. The recipient who receive this quilt will sure love it, and treasure it forever. Hugs

I’m trying to figure out if I’ve finished 11 BLOCKS this year…that’s what happens with applique. That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it.

I’m so glad you tell us that your donate this quilt or that quilt, it does inspire me. I just finished two quilt tops for quilts of valor.

I must not know what is going on, but I didn’t realize that there were still orphanages here in the US. I don’t think that there are any here in ND. Please correct me, someone if I am wrong. Here we have foster families. My good friend takes in foster kids (most are from drug homes), and it is difficult. Thank God for people like my friend and the others who do this.

And thank YOU too Judy for donating.

There are children’s homes in parts of the states where foster systems are inadequate to the need or where local culture supports group homes. They can also be called youth homes or other terms, but they take in minors under the age of 18 whose families are either not present or unable to care for them.

I’d like to make this quilt but want to know its finished size: is it closer to 50″ wide or 65″ wide (estimates based on 3″ vs. 4″ finished squares in the 4 patches)? Thank you!

Never mind! Against all logic (being a Mac-only household), I clicked on the EQ link. The intro said the quilt is 63″ x 83″, so I have my answer: the 4 Patches are made of 4″ finished squares. I’ll start cutting very soon! (Need to do my little chart of how many / what size / what colors.)

keeping myself up too late…each square finishes at 3.5″, it would seem. I’m thinking Red & White pinwheels and Blue/Yellow or Gold (or maybe two kinds of Blue) sets for QOVs. I have lots of fabric for QOVs and need to cut some kits for others to sew up; this pattern will really work! Thank you so much, Judy.
