Design Wall Monday – June 21, 2010
Ahhh . . something on my design wall! I’ll talk more about these blocks tomorrow but for now, here they are:
Aren’t they bright and cheerful? I’m not sure what to do with them. There are 20 of them. I was going to set them with sashing, 4 x 5, but then I thought about adding a 1-1/2″ frame around them and setting them 3 x 4. If I made 4 more, I’d have enough for 2 donation size quilts . . something like this:
What’s on your design wall?

LOVE those bright star blocks!!! One of these weeks, I need to remember to take pictures and post to Mr. Linky here. *sigh*
They are so cute and my favorite star pattern too. Love them.
Mr Linky seems to work now. I love your frame idea for the stars! Yes, they will cheer up somebody soon!
Thanks for hosting DWM!
I thought I had enough projects going – I love these bright stars!! I would make 4 more to make 2 donation quilts. Plan B, I would keep them for myself! Have a great Monday:)

The blocks are wonderful and will make great donation quilts. What a great idea.
Judy, Why don’t you set them on point with one of those fun print fabrics as the setting squares? I remember you showed some fabric a while back that was in your stash that would work great.
Oh those are wonderful Judy! I dont’ know how big they are, but that would make a fabulous toddler quilt.. or maybe two?
Love these star blocks! Great colours!
I have a “repeat” Design wall this week after attending my WASIQ Retreat with my ‘online friends’. I included a couple pictures of us before we all left. I had a productive week-end and worked on all but one of my projects I took with me to play with.
I have a ‘secret’ challenge project that is due in JULY at our Local Guild that was fun to play with on my no-stitch Sunday.

Pretty blocks Judy – love them with the frames.
I love those bright colors!
I always enjoy seeing what’s in progress.
Still nothing on my wall, but lots of fabric waiting to be washed. Every stash needs a few new neighbours from time to time!
What vibrant and cheerful colors! I love seeing what everyone is working on. Very inspiring!
Love your happy blocks! Happy first day of summer!
The bright colors are so pretty. I think these would be great for charity quilts because they are so cheerful. Vey nice, Judy.
