My boy . . where does he get his sense (or lack thereof) of fashion. His newest shoes — red suede Vans.
It could be worse. These are his favorite dress shoes. (Don’t ask me why he had them on with his pajamas!)
And then there are days when he just puts on two shoes, without regard to whether they match or not.
No matter what shoes he’s wearing, I love him and I miss him when he’s gone!

I love the fact that Chad is comfortable enough in his own skin that he can wear fabulous red shoes or mismatched shoes or even those fancy dress shoes and I bet he cares less what others think of him and his shoes. Me, I love his red shoes and wish I had a pair. The dress shoes with the pjs, that picture makes me smile.
He’s always been one to do what makes him happy and not much of a follower. At his age, I would never have been so bold so I’m glad to see him do the things he likes without too much concern for what others think about it.
woooah, those red suede Vans are COOL! Judy, you have to admit they look great!
And the best part is — Chad loves them.
hahahaha…don’t look now but I think you might be the ONLY one in your house who doesn’t go for colorful, unique shoes!!! (I do recall Vince’s purple ones that we’ve seen in many photos.)
Which I think means I’m the only normal one in this house?
I love Chad’s red shoes. My favorite shoes are red Easy Spirits – when I have to wear shoes in the winter, that’s the pair I go to first!!
Nothing wrong with those shoes Judy, they are, in the popular parlance, to die for!!!
I’m thinking I could use a pair of those red shoes….
I love Chad’s red shoes! Wish I had a pair, lol. I admire Chad’s sense of fashion and wearing what makes him happy. I worry too much about what other people think. Letting go and making yourself happy is the way to go. You raised a secure son, Judy. WTG!
Love the shoes….think it’s awesome that Chad wears what makes him happy and doesn’t worry about what others think.
I miss mine too! For a while my son only wanted vintage clothing…that was a fun stage! He always wore matching shoes though, but they might be 30 years old!
He’s quite the boy, lol!
My youngest son’s favorite shoes are a bold mustard yellow. A little jarring at first, but they have grown on me. Love the red shoes, but my favorite are the mismatched pair. Strangely, they look good! His personality is definitely coming through his shoes.
I love the shoes, but what about the socks?!? Are those blue and white inside those shoes? Awesome! When I was in college, a friend of mine was known for his raspberry chucks (Converse) — I’ll never forget that about him. Individuality is to be valued — good for him!
I love the red suede Vans. I’d like a pair for myself!!!
My son wears red tennies also… and black/white stripe and MY flip-flops…lol
I might look for those red velour for a Christmas present…
I love the red suede Vans! My younger son and I are going school shopping today and the Vans outlet will be one stop – I might have to get myself a pair!
I never even heard of Vans but I *love* those red ones! It’s wonderful that Chad has the confidence to wear what he likes instead of worrying about what other people think. But if it matters….*I* think they’re cool! Go Chad!!!!
