Design Wall Monday – October 25, 2010
To tell you the truth, I don’t even know what’s on my design wall but if I had to guess, I’d say nothing! I haven’t been downstairs yet since arriving back home.
I can tell you that I saw lots of gorgeous quilts on design walls at the retreat and I can hardly wait to get caught up on laundry, house cleaning, and cooking and get downstairs to sew.
Please share with us what’s on your design wall so we can all be inspired!

Glad the retreat was such fun. The only downside to fun trips is getting caught up on the mundane things like laundry once you get home.
I love quilt retreats. Your reports have made me want to schedule one.
That is the hard part of going to retreats is the re-entry to life…laundry, cleaning, re-organizing at home. Hope you get to sew today!
I love Mondays. Actually, Sundays when I get busy trying to have something up on the design wall! This week I succeeded, even though I am trying to finish some UFOs, the last week of the month I catch up on my monthly blocks. Looking forward to more posts after you’ve settled in Judy!
I could use a quilt retreat right now
I would love to go to a retreat right about now. I hope you have some pictures to show us later.
Anyother week and more progress!!
glad you had a great time at retreat! Enjoy some time to wind down
I have been gone for 9 days and I know how you feel. I had way too much fun, spent more money than I planned and the Laundry is calling me too… I prepped my design wall before I left since I knew I’d be tired. I have a week and 3 days to rest up before I leave to go on my 2nd retreat this year. While doing laundry I’ll just re-pack as I finish. I didnt’ take my machine on this trip. I saw some at an antique store that I wish I could have brought home though. Have a good week. I would have taken a picture at retreat to show this week, Judy. Or is that Cheating?
My design wall [ well actually My design Table!] this week has been a bit of a boost my stash busting so I am pleased with the result.. now to get the quilt finished.
Hope you had fun! I’m trying to finish one more project before packing up my sewing room…..
Too bad coming home from fun has to be full of chores. Hope you get through them quickly. Raining again in San Diego today. Sandi
So, I messed up with loading my post, again. The one on #37 doesn’t work, so can you delete that one please. And I’l repost again for position 38. Hopefully, this time with the correct results.
Finally working on something to keep!
Can’t wait to see your retreat photos and treasures.
Looking forward to retreat stories and pic’s! Thanks for hosting DWM!
Love seeing what everyone is working on!! Thanks for hosting, Judy! <3
I hope you took some photos of all the quilts you saw and I hope you had a great time.
I am so excited to have almost finished this quilt top. I had to lay it on the bed for measurement, since I am not organized like Judy and planned ahead on my borders, lol. Thanks again, Judy for hosting this.
Isn’t that the way it always is?! You have to rush to do things to go away and then you have to rush to catch up when you come back – LOL. ‘From past posts, I’m sure you’ll be speeding ahead of us once your back on that quilting chair. I call you Speedy Laquidara.
Would love honest feedback: can this quilt be made? Should I just take the background block, make two more, and have a nice, fall-ish table runner? Thanks for this wonderful website.
I think that Design Wall Monday is a great idea and I will be looking forward to see everyone’s wall.
