Despite trying to come up with a believable excuse and even thinking I’d just slap some blocks up there to have something on the wall . . I just have to admit that there’s nothing on my design wall . . completely empty! I took blocks to the retreat week before last, got the blocks all finished, started adding the borders and didn’t like working on the borders away from my big table so I stuck it aside and went on to another project. This past week, besides working on the cuddle quilts, I got three borders on that quilt. Late last night I added the remaining two borders and am done with it! I’ll do the binding first thing this morning and will be happy not to see it again til time to quilt it.
This week I’ll be making bunches of four patches so I know I’ll have something on my design wall next week.
Please share with us what’s on your wall.

Sounds like lots of activity, but nothing at a stage that fits on the wall. I had to reach deep to come up with something for mine and it’s pretty lame. Like you I hope to do better next week.
Judy, That first link is wrong, so you might want to take it out if you can. Also, I couldn’t find your “email me” button, lol, so feel free to take this comment off if you like, lol.
As always, I appreciate the inspiration I get from seeing the projects others have going. Thank you.
I know the feeling, sometimes I do so much during the week and on the weekend but on Monday morning, nothing on the wall!!
I was almost in the same boat as you this week but started sorting scraps and came up with a design wall project! I’d rather sew than sort scraps!
You know, making the binding before you get around to quilting is a great idea. Too often I have to search around for the binding I wanted to use. If I made it after finishing the top then pinned or folded the binding to the top I would be ready once I got to the point of quilting it.
Thanks.
Happy Monday Judy.
Couldn’t you just put your binding-less quilt up on your design wall so we can see it? It’s technically not a finished project and you really don’t know what fabric you’ll use for the binding so it’s still ‘in design’.
What a great idea to keep people inspired!
Four-patches…..they can be for anything
This week I’m on to TTNP borders, woo hoo. Can’t wait to get it finished….I’m really liking it!
Too bad you didn’t show the pic of the quilt! I’d love to see your WIP, design wall or not
I too like to make the binding while making the quilt. Often if I am bored at some point during the block assembly or some fiddly part I’m avoiding, I will cut and sew the binding and get it all ready to go. It is really nice to have that part ready and waiting once the quilting is finished.
I’ve posted a pic of my progress on your mystery quilt. I’m enjoying the process. Thanks for sharing it.
I love all the inspiration! Have a great week!
wow noticed how short the list is today – its been a busy week for all of us!!!!!
Can’t believe I am so late, especially since I posted early this morning. Now I need to go back and have fun looking at all the other walls! Thank you so much for hosting.
Finally linking, it’s one of THOSE days
LOL – I’m not making an excuse for you this time, Judy. Why not just hang that unfinished quilt on your design wall and let it be your progress. We want to see this troublesome quilt.
This week I realized how much I miss having a REAL design wall (and not just so I can post a photo of it for DWM). Today at lunch, I went to Target and picked up a flannel-backed tablecloth, thinking a temporary design wall was infinitely better than no design wall at all.
I’m so glad I was able to get in now! We restarted our computer today, and that seemed to have worked!!! I was missing Patchwork Times for the last few days! Need my daily fix ya know:-)
THis is the first time I ever added my blog to a list like this and it was so easy! I always have something on my design wall although I admit I sometimes use my design wall for storing pieces in progress or as a bulletin board.

I’m late posting this week, but finally did manage it. Now, if only I could get my first sock cast on my circular needles.
I have loved looking at all the wonderful design walls projects.
I just added mine, what a neat idea.
I hope to be able to keep up.
