UFO Challenge Participants

December 17, 2010

If you’re planning to join the 2011 UFO Challenge, here’s where you can add your link to your blog post or your photo page. Please be sure to add the link to your direct blog post and not to your main blog! Links to main blogs will be deleted because when readers want to check your list in a month or so from now, if your link goes to your main blog, they will not be able to find your post.

Example:  This is a link to my main blog – http://www.patchworktimes.com.  This is a link to my UFO post – http://www.patchworktimes.com/2010/12/15/my-ufo-2011-list/

The first link is not right.  The second link is correct.

Before you link:

  • Make sure your link is to a blog post and not your main blog
  • Have your 12 UFOs listed in the blog post BEFORE you link up.

Please share your link here:

Hello Judy, I listed my UFOs for 2011. Hugs from France.

I’ve got a tab just for this challenge which I’ve linked to. Once a # is drawn, I’ll write a blog entry with more detail about that month’s quilt and have links going back and forth.

Thanks for putting together this challenge.

my list is longer than your list… doesn’t sound as good when speaking of UFO’s.
I’m definately in!!!

I’m in! Trust me I’m doing 9 other UFOs in 2011 that will keep me involved!

I could only think of 10 UFO’s, so I listed 3 quilts I have been wanting to start and haven’t yet. Hope it isn’t cheating! One quilt on my original list I have started working on, so it is officially no longer a UFO—so I didn’t cheat from that perspective :c)

Thanks–this is going to be fun!

I have tried and tried and I can’t link my post so although no one will be able to see my progress unless they are a follower, I will be playing along. Can’t figure out the problem :c( Sorry for all the attempts, but I also can’t figure out how to delete them.

I so badly need to do this – how encouraging to find that I’m not alone. :)

I will be working on my complete list tomorrow, in between wrapping teacher’s gifts and such like.

As I said before it would take me forever to find all the ufos as I am a Serial Project Starter – LOL. In the post before my ufo one I shared my dilemma. My guardian angel must have been listening because he sent me to my rocker and there were 12 + projects for me to do. I’m in! And it is the first time in years I have been able to sit on that rocker. Thanks for the challenge, Judy!

Wow . . . do I get something special for being #110? Not so much, huh? Maybe I should have waited so I could be #111 in 2011. I never think ahead.

Anyhoooo . . . I hope you don’t mind that I made my challenge one big mondo quilt to be completed in pieces over the next year. I haven’t been quilting long enough to have accumulated any UFO’s to speak of, and it’s kind of not in my nature to leave things unfinished. They just niggle in the back of my mind, driving me crazy, until I finish them. However, a big project like this one has been known never to get off the ground. Doing it this way will help me make my way through it in a measured way and by the end of the year, I’ll have completed an amazing quilt. Now I’m excited to see it finished. Thanks for the challenge.

Oh, Judy, I’ve joined up! I am looking forward to getting some of these projects in a finished pile, since they are all for ME. I’ll be working on projects for others too, of course, but these UFOs are a selfish list :) Thanks for having this challenge!

Yay! I’m so glad you are running this challenge, Judy! I have been reading your blog off and on for awhile, and wanting to blog about the quilting I’m doing (I have been mostly blogging about decorating), and your challenge inspired me to just do it! Yay! So I’m very excited to join in (at the last minute!)
Thanks again,
~Angela :-)

I’ve written up my UFO list and posted it on my blog. I’m new to Blogs, and have a lot to learn, but I think I’m doing things right. I even put the UFO Challenge button on my page. I’ll be adding photos in a few days. This sounds like an excellent way to get more projects done this year. I think it’s going to be great fun.

I’m usually just a lurker but had to jump in on this one. This is going to be great fun and the best push I need to complete some of my UFO’s.

Such a great idea! Hopefully I’ve linked it all up correctly, and all my UFO’s will magically start being completed?! At least I don’t have to think about what I’m going to work on next! Thanks for hosting this!

Of course I am joining the group with only 30 minutes left before the New Year arrives. But then that’s how I do things. Maybe my last minute tendency is why there are so many UFO’s. Thanks for the inspiration to get some of these out of my pile, into the light of done and able to be enjoyed.

I don’t have a blog and I am with family for Christmas part 2, so I will have to start a flicker account after I am back home. I hope this is ok. I know I have at least 12 UFO’s with 3 of them being knitting UFO’s which I also hope is ok. I look forward to getting these completed.

Thanks Judy, I love your blog!

Judy #175 did not work correctly…please delete.

My husband and I are cleaning and preparing for a move to Wisconsin. I know it will be easier to convince him I need to take an item with me if it is finished. I am not very good at challenges, so I put a few items in that will need to be finished if I want to finish them or not. The rest are items that bother me every time I see them and wonder why I do not work on them.

I hope everyone finishes many items, but remember finishing any item is good.

Count me in!! :-D I have two lists — one for quilt tops and another for tops that I want to finish with quilting and bidning. AMBITIOUS (translation? — dumb!?! LOL), but I think having some “accountability” will help me stay the course. Best Wishes to all who are tackling this!!
Blessings,
Mary Lou

Hi Judy -
I just finished making an album (similar to Sarah’s that you shared with us yesterday) of the twelve 2011 UFOs I want to finish this year.

I have provided the link to my UFO album above – I do not know how to change the main link that I posted on my original sign up, #53 Mostly Simple.

I am sorry for the bother . . . can you update the link on your end or should I just resign up for this endeavor?

Thanks,
Margo :0)
