Yep, that’s me . . always on track . . never sidetracked. I surprise myself that I get anything accomplished because I jump from project to project too much! I make myself crazy!
This morning I was in the sewing room very early. My tummy wanted me to bake a pound cake but I won that battle and so far have stayed on the diet. The things on my “To Do Chart” today were:
1. Edit two patterns for the new book. I got those two done but it was a struggle because I wanted to sew.
2. Bind a quilt. Got that done. It’s one for the book. I know I should bind a second one but I couldn’t make myself do that. I wanted to sew!
3. Load one of the book quilts on the longarm. I was so happy when I found the perfect backing and it was one that I had laid out a few days ago and Speck had been on it so I decided to wash it before using it. That gave me time to sew. The backing is in the dryer right now.
4. Work on this quilt:
I told myself that I had to get at least 5 blocks done before I could start working on this quilt:
But then I remembered that I need to make a block for the next Quiltmaker 100 Blocks issue. I came up with a block design and then I pulled the fabrics to make the block and a table runner.
If you’re wondering if I got those 5 blocks made for the first quilt . . nope! Got one done!
There are just too many fun things to do and not enough time to get it all done!
