Welcome Spring

Whew . . I looked at the 15 day forecast and all the way through April 15 there’s no snow in our forecast so even though we have nights in the upper 30′s, I think Spring may finally be here.  I’m so ready.  And, best of all, I’ll be gone from here by the time winter gets here again and even though Brownwood gets a little snow every now and then, it won’t be anything like it’s been here.  Vince can put the snow shovels in the storage building and I hope we never need them again!

It’s 60º here and 90º in Brownwood, Texas.  I’ll love the early spring there and the funny thing is that their average high temps in July and August are 95 – 96.  Our average July and August high temps are 89 – 90.  Those few degrees do not make up for the winters we have here and we have high humidity most of the time and Brownwood does not.  Besides, I can’t remember any summer here when then high temps for July and August weren’t up closer to 100º.  I suppose it doesn’t really matter . . just so the air conditioner works!

For those who asked, the move is a transfer with Vince’s current employer and they make moves pretty easy.  It would be real easy if we weren’t packrats but they do their part and we couldn’t ask for more than what they do.  You know what I’ve been doing all day — cleaning!  One bedroom and one bathroom are clean. More and more boxes are getting packed.  More junk is being tossed.  Even though I missed Vince this week, it was nice to have 6 full days of no interruptions to get things done.  We’re making progress!
