Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Vol. 3 Blog Tour

Today is my day on Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks, Volume 3 Blog Tour!  Check it out — lots of good quilt bloggers are included in the tour. And, there are prizes . . good prizes!  Volume 3 will be on the new stands and in quilt shops on May 10.  I’ll remind you again on that so you don’t miss it.

Back when I had the cover up and asked you to guess which one was mine, most guessed the orange/purple block over on the right side but that belongs to Julie at JayBird Quilts!  We both got a kick out of everyone thinking her block was my block, and we had kinda used the same colors.  See the three at the very top.  Mine is the middle one.  Some did guess that one.  It’s Block #283 (page 67) in the magazine.  My block is named Rain Dance.

Want to see the quilt I made using my block?  I thought you might!

The block instructions are in the issue, along with 99 other wonderful blocks!  The perimeter blocks on my quilt were modified a bit and a pieced border of pinwheel blocks was added.  A full photo of the quilt is included in the magazine.  With the block instructions in the magazine, you can easily make this quilt.

As with the two previous volumes, the blocks in this issue are fantastic and I think any quilter would be thrilled to have this issue in their collection.

Would you like to win your very own copy of Volume 3?    Two copies will be given away on my blog.  One will come directly from Quiltmaker.  One copy will come from me.  All you have to do is leave a comment here to be entered.  Only one comment per person please.  And, be sure that I have a way to contact you so I can get your address if you are the winner!

Leave a comment by tomorrow evening and some time on Saturday night I’ll draw two names to win their very own copy of this fun magazine!   Be sure that I have an email address so I can contact you if you’re the winner!

As soon as you finish leaving your comment, head on over to the Quilty Pleasures website, check out the other blogs and enter to win great prizes!

As always you come up with amazing block ideas. And, as a recent (7 years) transplanted Texan I’ve enjoyed your blogs about house hunting and moving here. I especially had to smile when you talked about the number of Texas flags you see…I now make it a point, when going to other states, to see how long it’ll be before I see a state flag. Except for the flag on the Welcome sign and maybe on license plates — often the answer to when? Is never….
