Stash Report – Week 27, 2011

July 3, 2011

Stashbusters . . do you realize we’re now into the 2nd half of 2011?  Still time to end the year with good numbers if we work hard.  We don’t have to commit to “no buy”.  We just need to shop our stash first; use what we can from our stash and buy whatever we need in order to be able to put the stash to work.

This week I used 11.75 yards which was 5 yards for each backing for the Carpenter Star quilts, .5 yard for the binding for each Carpenter Star quilt, and .75 yard for the binding for the Quiltmaker quilt.

Used this Week: 11.75 yards
Used year to Date: 208.50 yards
Added this Week: 0 yards
Added Year to Date: 10 yards
Net Used for 2011: 198.50 yards

Great numbers Judy! I’m trying very hard this year to shop my stash first. I will admit that has resulted in at least one quilt moving in a direction quite different then I envisioned when I finished the blocks, but I like it anyway.

Have a very happy 4th!

Good week for you Judy! Do you have a goal of usage for this year? I am excited to finally be sewing on the binding for the top I started in your Indy workshop last year and I love, love, love the quilt! Can’t wait to hang it in our quilt show later this year :)

I am having a hard time finishing anything! It’s so much fun to start something new and so tedious to get down to the actual quilting and binding.

As usual your numbers look great! If I could just finish a project instead of starting new, I’d be in good shape. Oh well, summer weather always makes my quilting ADD worse!

Enjoy your 4th!

Great numbers this week Judy. I only used 1 yard from my stash (gifted it to a friend), so my numbers remained the same. Have a happy and safe 4th of July. Dar
