i’ll bet it felt good to be quilting again. now that you’ve got a contract the next couple of months will fly by. then before you know it, you’ll be at the sewing machine again churning out quilts like you always do. Like i said before, you can’t keep a good woman down and out. Just like a spring compressed, she’ll spring back into action before you can turn around.

Glad you got to do some quilting this week, Judy. I’m sure it was therapeutic after all the house stress this week.

Moving is not conductive to quilt related activities. When we moved from TX to OK 5 years ago, we had the same problem you do. Housing was in such short supply that we weren’t able to find a place before we both had to report to our new jobs. Apartments were hard to find in the town as well. We were lucky and found a house the 2nd day we were in our new location, but it wasn’t finished yet. We lived in a hotel for 30 days before we were able to move in. My sewing machine was at my sister’s house, a 2 hour drive away, which is where we went on the weekends. I’d have gone nuts if not for those few hours of sewing I got to do on the weekends. I definitely needed the stress releif!

I hope all the stars align for you soon on the housing front. It’s such a frustrating feeling to not know where you’ll be living.

I’m glad you got to do some quilting again. Glad to here things are looking up in the house department. I have a sticky note on my bathroom mirror with your name on it to remind me to include you in my prayers.
