November Monochromatic Challenge

For November, the challenge is to make a black and white quilt and add one other color.  Use as many blacks, as many whites and one other color!  I had a quilt in mind but who knows if I will get it done. October was a two color quilt.  Did any one do one?

Contract for Retreat

I just picked up the contract for the retreat.  The room rate is $69 + tax and because the hotel is out of the city, the tax rate is only 6%.  If we take up at least 16 rooms, then they’re letting us use the big room for no charge.  If we drop below 16 [...]

The Spooky Cactus

A while back on here I mentioned that when I go out before daylight and the motion light comes on, if there’s dew on the cactus in the woods, they look kinda spooky.  This morning, very appropriately on Halloween, they looked spookey! Isn’t it funny how they look kinda “glow in the dark”?
