Sugar Cream Pie Recipe

I had never heard of sugar cream pie til last year at Ruthie’s retreat in Indiana. It sounded so yummy but when I finally did get a slice, I was too full to enjoy it. I’ve made a different recipe every time I’ve made a sugar cream pie and every one has been good, but just a bit different.

This is the recipe I used today. It’s good — real good!

    This pie is one of my favorites. I have been making it for years. I use nutmeg instead of cinnamon and stir it into the filling instead of sprinkling on top. So good.

    Man oh man! I was hoping you wouldn’t print the recipe. It looks and sounds so good and we are all on diets around here but I think I’m gonna’ have to break down and make one. Then eat a lot of salads afterwards.
