Isn’t it appropriate that the first quilt top I finished while working at the new house is Vince’s top? I showed it to him and he said “Who’s that for?” Hmmm . . you picked out the colors and asked me to make you a quilt!
Maybe it will be the first quilt I quilt in my new studio!

Wow – this is a beauty and I know he will enjoy using it! Great borders too!
OMG I love this! It’s beautiful! Are you going to do the wonky squares on it?
I LOVE this! How funny is he?? Ask for a quilt, pick out the colors and promptly forget about it……
Love it!!!!
I love it! You are such an inspiration.
Great quilt….Vince colors.
I saw your new book on Amazon this morning…coming out on Jan. 1…i pre-ordered today. Merry Christmas to me. LOL
thanks
I love it…..bet Vince will too when it is quilted!
I so adore the colors!! It is gorgeous!
Beautiful! Love the pattern and the colors.
I love it and very nice color choice on his part! Great team work.
So he has been reminded that it is for him and just in time for Winter…Not that he’ll be cold in Texas! Looks good.
very pretty – I am working on one of the same pattern; I have 5 of 8 borders on at this point. I hope to get the last three on today before I have a guild meeting tomorrow night. I am anxious to see how you quilt this one.
Vince’s quilt looks great! I just quilted my version of this pattern this weekend. I did it in aquas, creams and browns. And all batiks. I’ll have to share a picture with you. =)
I LOVE the colors, tell Vince he can really pick them!!!!!
Hugs!!
Great quilt, and I know it will be especially treasured because of the memories you’ll have from making it and then finally quilting it!
Added to all the others, I love the quilt and the colors are superb–Vince has taste in other areas besides great women. Your influence has rubbed off on him and he did a great job. Can’t wait to see it quilted.
I LOVE that quilt! And it would be fitting for it to be the top to quilt first at the new house in your new studio. So love that colour combo. But Vince will have to don the green shirts again for it to be absolutely RIGHT!!
Cheers from Down Under
Gorgeous!
Since Vince has forgotten about his quilt, you could send it to me instead! Beautiful quilt and striking colors.
What a wonderful way to bless this house, by creating a beautiful quilt and making it your home.
I must say Vince seems to have quite the eye for pulling colors for a quilt.
This is a great quilt! MEN….those three letters say a lot!

“Love Changes Everything” even a pile of coloured fabrics into a magnificent quilt. A beautiful first finish for your beautiful new home and studio.
Congratulations and best wishes to you both.
The end of a long, long road has come, and you surely deserve the happy outcome.

Ooops, sorry, did not mean to post twice.
You are an inspiration to me, it seems like I dont finish anything anymore! Love your blog. My dear son want me to make him a quilt, but he doesnt like squares or blocks. I found a pattern of a double wedding ring with mariner stars incorporated…am I nuts? I think it is a Judy Niemeyer pattern. Now all I have to do is decide on fabric…patriotic? Or maybe batiks? 1800 repro’s? Or two color? Kaffe Fassett could be interesting, on a solid background. Hmm… thankfully, I have four quilt tops that need quilting first…so I have lots of time to make up my mind!
I love it! I keep thinking I’m going to make one of these but haven’t even started it yet. One day……Yes it is appropo for you to quilt this one first in your new studio! I am amazed that you are still sewing with all that is going on in your life. Keep up the good work!
I love those colors! MEN…..of course he’d not recall that he picked out the colors!!!
love it. is it your own pattern???? great border!!!
I love this! I can’t wait to see the finished quilt. How are you gonna quilt it?
Love it! Bright, but not “girly.” Very nice. I can’t wait to see how you quilt it!
Would you be so kind as to tell us the name of that pattern again? It looks familiar but I just can’t put my finger on it. Good job and a great start to your new home.
Can’t wait to see it quilted! It’s a keeper!
Judy – I just posted about the top I made using this pattern – http://peachquilting.com/2011/11/30/geometric/
