The reason I didn’t add the UFO Challenge button as a “click and copy” type button to start with is because I just plain can’t figure it out! I’ve tried adding Denise’s 12 in 12 Sock Button and screwed up both my sidebars. Every time I try to add something, I mess everything up. No doubt, it’s very simple but I’ve messed up my blog so many times that I’m scared to do anything. But, so many of you were having problems adding it, and I certainly understand, that after I woke up from my five hour nap this evening, I decided figuring out the button was a good thing to do. After all, I’ll probably be awake all night. The good news is . . the doctor seems to have solved my coughing problem and I was able to sleep.
So, if you’re wanting the 2012 UFO button, you should be able to copy it and add it to your blog.
The bad news is . . some of you have posted your 2012 UFO lists under the wrong link box. That’s the problem with having too many of them appear at once but we’ll get it all straight. Please go back and check your links here. If it isn’t there, don’t worry about finding it and removing it from where ever it might be . . just get it in the right place and we won’t worry about the other one.
One more thing - your link will be deleted if you link it to your main blog. Here’s the example of what to do and what not to do.
Do not make this type link – http://www.patchworktimes.com. That goes back to my main blog. Your link should be to a specific post and should look similar to this:

As of now, there are 160 of us on there. The link box will close on January 5. If we all get all 12 of our quilts done, I think we should have a huge party on New Years Eve. What do you think? Maybe we could travel to a central location with all our 12 projects or maybe just have a bunch of “local” locations — have a big party and send all our pictures in to a quilt magazine! Get busy quilters! 
You must have needed a good, long nap to sleep that long and you no doubt feel better for it. As for getting the button to work the way you want…..sometimes computer stuff can be just plain aggravating, so don’t feel too bad. And that comes from a person who uses them a lot, fixes them for other people and can take them apart & put them back together….and they work, more’s the miracle.

I was not able to use the code for the button but I was easily able to copy it to my desktop and add it to my blog.
Did someone say party? How much fun would that be? hehe I could try and convince my friend at my LQS to host a party.

Why is the world not covered in quilts?
I am new to quilting in 2011 and don’t have any UFO’s so can’t join in this party. However, I am thinking of just starting projects and leaving them to become UFO’s of the future as this challenge looks good fun. In real life though, I have this tendency to finish whatever I start before picking up the next thing, so I suspect I am doomed to watch you all from the sidelines!
I think there are many quilters who dream of being just like you! Complete a project start to finish before buying more fabric! I just can’t stay out of the fabric stores. How about if you challenge yourself to make a new project each month? 12 projects in one year – that would be great!

How do I get the specific link to my UFO post?
Im on the list, and it works back to my post not my blog, but it has a red x next to my name. Whats up with that? I’ll give the button a try too. Sometimes this computer stuff makes me feel very stupid and old. I think Ill call my 13 year old nephew. Im sure he will know how to do it! Kate in CO
