February Palette Challenge
Finally . . it’s the first of the month and we have a new palette for our challenge from Vicki!
I have not even thought about what I might do with these colors but I can’t wait to have a few minutes to play with EQ and see what I come up with! I dearly love figs so I especially want to come up with something to make using this palette.
Don’t forget to check Vicki’s blog often. On Fridays, she’s sharing great color lessons. They’ve all been so good. She also had a tutorial over the weekend on placemats and I really want to try some of those.
If you made a project using the January Palette, please post a link to it here and at the end of February, there will be a link for the Fig projects. Don’t forget that someone who posts a project will win a fat quarter packet from Vicki’s shop!

Judy~
You should have your color palette quilt linked right up there with the others, too! It’d be so easy to find that way~ we could just click away!! The quilted items are spectacular, by the way.
I love the Feb. color pallette! I bought a Donna Wilder stripe in Joanns yesterday and it has all of the colors. What a happy coincidence for me.
OK, I feel funny that this is the same post that I used for Design Wall Monday. I had to include this finish on Monday because it is my only January finish for OPAM. Maybe I have too many deadlines? Love the new palette but oh so many colors. This will take some thinking. Oh, my!
I agree — ten colors! Kinda hard to fit into that crazy quilt block I’m trying but… at least there are some colors in common with the last one so the square will fit right in! YAY! To the stash to see what I have…
I love the figs and this new colour palette! Can’t wait to start playing!
Lots of colors in the new one! Should be fun.
This is a perfect palette for what I have in mind. I can’t wait to visit the fabric store!
Thanks to Judy & Vicki for this challenge. However I don’t know if you can call it a challenge when it is so much fun!
Mine isn’t finished… but I added it anyhow. Hope no once minds. Hope to get it done this weekend!
I didn’t actually make a project… only design one…
Two ideas come to mind for the Feb. challenge. A traditional Fig Leaf pattern (also called Ozark Maple Leaf) using the colors for leaves. Found the pattern on quilterscache. OR… a Basket of Figs using a traditional basket pattern like Basket of Chips, or Bonnie Hunter’s Scrap Basket pattern. hmmm…. decisions, decisions….
My fabrics just arrived for my January project. They took a lot longer to get to me than I anticipated! So I ordered my fabrics today for this palette in hopes to finish before the end of the month. I love the inspiration photo for this one.
