A Baby Picture

How about we close out the weekend with a picture . .

That’s the little blanket that I knitted for her.  I thought leaving Chad was hard but leaving the baby is so much harder!  Someone has to move . . us or them . . but we have to be closer to them . . soon!

God bless your little angel! With all of those acres, you could build a little home for them but still have some privacy ;)

  2. 2

Oh my she is a cutie! How are the new parents doing??

  3. 3

Start looking for jobs for them that they can’t refuse near you.

  4. 4

Oh. Judy….build them a spot on the heaven of a place you have….what a great place to raise a grandchild!! Sweet little girl, so precious!

  5. 5

Awww she is such a treasure :) Do you have a baby pic of Chad for comparison, always interesting to see how much like their parents, new babys are!

There is no return from the land of proud grand-parenting. No fool in his right mind would live in Northern California for retirement but guess where I live? The DGDs were like an ultra strong magnet drawing me here. I’ve never regretted it. But I may not travel as much and I live in a small house.

What No picture with Grandma?? You have to go back and get one. or take one before you leave this time. She’s a cutie.

Aww what a sweet lil girl. Those cheeks are priceless! I know how you feel being a new grandma. My first grandbaby is 2 months old and he’s got nana’s heart. We are blessed.

Loving the non-pastel soft, fuzzy blanket!

  10. 10

She’s so precious! There’s nothing, nothing, like being a grandma. Hugs to all of you!

With a name like Adelina, she really should be raised in Texas. Just saying.

  12. 12

Beautiful! Hope you get to see her again really soon!

  13. 13

Aw-w-w, how sweet she is. So glad you got to see her so soon.

  14. 14

In this latest picture, I think she looks like you.
    What a sweetie.

  15. 15

LOL. I knew that “move” thing was going to come into play soon!

Adorable. We had to do the same..move nearer. The grandchildren kept coming and we couldn’t stand not being near them. We MOVED states and now live 1/2 mile away. Can be there in minutes! and we often are. They come over too.

Help them find work near you…since they are not yet in ‘career’ jobs yet nor locked into real estate. Job market may be better in Texas and it is a good place to raise families.

Lynne in Hawaii, I may need some tourist advise in about 6-9 months. My daughter and granddaughter are moving to Japan for 3 years (son-in-law in the navy). We are planning to meet “half way” in Hawaii for a vacation with them next spring/summer.

She is such a cutie Judy – they all are when asleep :)

Is this the place where I say “I told you so!”? I did warn you about how a grandchild can change everything a month or so ago, and just chuckled at your reply to me. And it looks like you got a really sweet little girl. Grandma is the best job in the world!

  20. 21

now that is a sweet little sight :)

  21. 22

Well, since you have you little slice of heaven in Texas, I think they are going to need to come live by you! A nice cabin on the other side of your acres would be good, and then you could ride your little cart over there, with the cows trailing behind! I can see it in my mind’s eye, Judy! ;D

  22. 23

If there are no jobs near you that would suit them, maybe they could move about half way between both sets of grandparents? Not a perfect solution, but probably a lot better than the distance between right now!

  23. 24

What? but but but you just got settled into your dream home. LOL. :-) When Vince retires, you can move closer to them. :-)

  24. 25

She is so precious! She looks so content sleeping in grandma’s blankie. Your life is going to be so blessed having this little one around. Hope you all get to be closer in distance, some way, some how!

  25. 26

Granddaughter’s are wonderful! You are so blessed to have her.

    Pretty bay, pretty blanket

I couldn’t agree more on all accounts. Just count your blessings they aren’t half way around the world in Japan! :( ,,
boo hoo! All I can say is lots of trips back and forth and I know a road trip partner who would be more than willing to drive when you’re tired.

  28. 29

So cute!!! We are 3 hours from ours and it’s hard…I cannot imagine being 10 hours away. :(

  29. 30

Life is too short to not live close to our grandangels. It is NOT THE SAME when you just visit. I love the little things – like driving them to school – helping with homework – but when you live far away, you just enjoy them when you are with them – REAL FAST!!!!
