Not enough sewing this week to show anything.  I did get the bindings finished on Adalina’s quilts.  Here’s the strippy quilt that had no binding.  Nicole washed them both and they both washed quite nicely.  I think the Minkee, with or without batting, was a great choice for the backings.

Judy – I’m just amazed you got anything done with being with Precious this week!! Who wants to hold a needle when you could be holding a baby?? Blessings!

Very pretty quilts. I hope you took pictures of her and you with the quilts, those will be memories that she’ll be glad you preserved.

judy, LOVELY quilts!!!! what i noticed were the tattooed legs peeking out at the bottoms……curious as to who they belong to and what they say….something about being late to work? hate to work? i love tats and have several of my own with plans to get more….
oh yeah, the quilts! back to that…..
did you use a batting along with the minkee? i have a quilt nearly ready to go and am planning on using minkee for the backing. also for a grand child ;o) bleier (named after rocky bleier–huge steelers fans here) will be joining us early december. i will be using my long arm to quilt it.

Not sure what you’re seeing but those are Chad’s legs and there are no tattoos on the legs or any other part of him.

I used batting for the owl fabric quilt but not for the strippy quilt.

I love the Minkee … it’s so soft and lovely … but it’s hard to quilt (for this inexperienced machine quilter). I have made several changing pad covers out of it a little more successfully, though! :)

The quilts are adorable and I’m glad you finally got to meet your Granddaughter!

Judy. I was wondering if you went through Joplin on your trip. It would look a lot different than the last time you saw it. I live about 20 miles west of Joplin (in Kansas). I don’t go over there very often. I get sad to think of all the people of Joplin has been through. You are going to have so much fun with that baby. She is a cutie.

I like that you made the baby quilts a little larger & rectangular. They’ll work great for an older child as well as a baby. One of these is bound to become that sweet little grand-daugher’s “blanky.”

Beautiful baby quilts – and they are getting used: what more can you wish for?
