TV or Internet?

Don’t make these difficult please.  Don’t overthink it . . just try to answer correctly.  There’s no right or wrong answer.

If you had to give up either TV or internet, which one would you choose to give up and why?  If you’re giving up the internet . . you’re giving it up completely — no webtv (do they still have that?), no smart phone, no iPad . . no internet means no internet!  Same with tv . . if you give up tv, that means no Netflix, no watching DVD’s, no streaming from the computer . . no tv means nothing that is even remotely connected with the tv!

I’m difficult, huh?  :)

Circle Socks Completed

This is the 9th pair of socks I’ve made this year.  And, if I’m trying to finish one pair per month, you can see that I’m one pair behind.  I can get caught up because I have one pair of socks that has one sock completed — a purple Zora.  On another pair, I have one sock completed and am down to the heel on the second sock – using the Simple Skype Sock pattern.  I should work on the Simple Skype socks tonight and tomorrow and then have them done by the weekend.  Maybe I will.

There are the blue/yellow socks that I’m working on and I’ve probably knitted about three or four inches down the leg on those.

But, the Circle Socks are completed.  They were fun to knit.  These are a gift and I’ll probably make another pair for myself.

That’s it for Soctober, 2012 for me.  I made two pairs.

If you made socks during Soctober and want to share a link, feel free to do so.  If you made several pairs and they’re all on separate blog posts, add as many links as you need so we can see your accomplishments.

Nicole Has Spoken

Nicole made her decision as to which quilt she wanted before I ever posted the pictures on the blog.  I sent them to her and almost immediately, she wrote me that she liked #1 best.

I told her that we could change the colors, and or not add borders.  She loves the colors just as they are and we both thought it needed borders.  Orange is her favorite color so, I made the wider plain border orange.  The outer brown edge is the binding.

There you go . . you know what I’ll be working on for the next few weeks.  I’m headed over to the sewing room now to pull some fabrics.

Socks #8 Completed

As Soctober, 2012 winds down, my 8th pair of socks for 2012 has been finished.  The 9th pair only needs the toe on the second sock grafted and I will get that done this afternoon.

The yarn is Opal, though I can’t remember which Opal it is.  The pattern is the plain Jane pattern I use so often, which is based on my version of Classic Socks for the Family by Yankee Knitter.

I used 2.25 mm needles for this heavier yarn to make a very dense pair of socks.  These are a gift for a friend who travels way up north quite often and I think they’ll come in handy for her.
