Today was kinda busy with a meeting this morning, lunch out, a trip to Wal-Mart, garden work that had to be done, just a little sewing and less knitting!
Aaackkk!! I cast on my Opal sock last night and it felt really “loose”. I checked this morning and see that I probably need size 1 needles. I am using Opal Cotton. The closest LYS is 1.5 hours away, but I was planning a road trip to Hattiesburg, MS for the Pinebelt Quilt Guild Show so I guess I will take a side trip through the yarn shop. Maybe I need to force myself to knit a swatch next time (I have never done that but now I see the logic). Will try to link to your “On the Needles” page today.
I am finally at the point in a sock where I “turn the heel”. My instructions are clear but it appears to use only part of the stitches before turning over to do the inside row of the sock. I can’t see what is going to happen – help!!! I am getting better but have to keep starting over because if I drop stitches I can’t get them back. Any suggestion on how to pick up dropped stitches? There are incredible instructional knitting videos on YouTube. I think you’ll be able to find something that shows you how to pick up those dropped stitches…sure beats starting over! Best of luck!
