In addition to the other things we’re going to do here at Patchwork Times during 2013, I have two more ideas to keep you busy.
1. A friend is a great designer and the other day she had a quilt pattern on something I saw and I loved it. I asked if she would mind if we do it as a blog project and she was fine with that. I’ll give you more info when my pattern arrives and I can take a picture of it and share the info. It’s a beautiful Christmas quilt and anyone wanting to participate will need to order a copy of the pattern directly from the designer. I think you’ll just fall in love with it when you see it. I’m so hoping my mail lady brings my copy today.
2. A monthly gift link box. Here we are just days before Christmas and some of us are attempting to finish up hand made gifts. On the 25th of each month, we’ll have a link box and you can all try to get at least one item made per month and link up, showing us what you’ve made and giving us the pattern/design/link so that we can all make one too if we want. Christmas, 2012 isn’t even here yet but it isn’t too early to start thinking about our gifts for 2013. Really!

Judy, you have more things going on than anyone I know! Thank you for all you do for us blog followers. Wishing you and Vince a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy new year!
What great ideas! I am just cleaning my sewing area NOW. (the dining room table). I needed the space to wrap! But if I was done earlier….WHAT A CONCEPT! Looking forward to your posts.
Great ideas Judy!!
Can’t wait to see this pattern! I also love the idea of a link box for the 25th of each month. If that doesn’t spark motivation, I honestly don’t know what will! Speaking for myself, of course!!!
It is funny but I had already been thinking ahead to next year and had already decided I would dedicate a day or two each month to gfts for next year. It is great that you think to include us in your thought processes, Judy!
What Debbie said, above — I’d been thinking about dedicating some time for gift work each month, too — linky party would be fun!
Good ideas, Judy. You’re going to get me organized before I know it. =)
Two more ideas.. oh wow are you going to keep us all
inspired ,, I am not real computer savy so not sure
what the link up is all about but I sure will check in
here.. I love to be busy and Like the idea of working
NOW on a quilt project for Christmas 2013..
I love the idea – and so would a couple of friends of mine!
Right now is when I tell myself…in January I’m going to sew …… and…….. I even have a list this year! Maybe I just need you pushing me!!
Have already hauled out some pieces for next year’s gifts…perfect timing for this great idea!!
Great ideas Judy! I can’t wait!
Great ideas Judy — you surely keep me busy!!!

These are both great ideas. On the gift idea, could some of you share your ideas as you go? My mind is really tired and out of fresh ideas for next year. Today I finished up sewing for Christmas and I really wanted to take a break for a few days, but that isn’t going to happen. Have two baby quilts to make for a shower on the 5th, so will get started after Christmas. May you and Vince have a blessed Christmas and may the New Year bring you both Joy and blessings from above.
I love the idea of doing a Christmas quilt early in the year. I always want to do them in December, like I would ever get one done by Christmas.
I’m looking forward to SEVERAL of your 2013 activities! Can’t wait to get started
Merry Christmas ~ Jeanne
I have the same plan! Want to sew and knit gifts all year so I don’t have to panic next Christmas. I have two days left to finish a sock and now I can’t remember how to knit the gusset! Nothing like a little last minute pressure.
LOL – I’ll try – what with stash reports, design wall Mondays, UFOs, Stars and Scraps quilt, and quilt alongs I may be a little busy, but I’ll try. The Monthly links sounds like fun and it would be great to get some things done early.
