I Hereby Declare . .

After reading my emails this morning, seeing several interesting quilt shop sales and clicking a few too many buttons, I hereby declare that the last stash report of this year, and all years hereafter, shall be shared purely for entertainment purposes!

I do believe no further explanation or discussion of this topic is needed, right?

BWG! if I had any money left after Christmas shopping, I would join you ;)

  4. 4

Well you made me laugh out loud! I pretty much thought that all along on my stash. That is why I quit reporting it was TOO much info. :)
We just need to realize some of us are never intended to “use it up”! Some of us are intended to make as much as we can, give away as much as we can and enjoy the process as much as we can.
You constantly inspire me to do all of the above!

Hahaha!! Luckily our LQS has its big blow out sale on New Year’s Day … that’s next year’s stash report … que sera sera!

And that is why I have been deleting those emails from all but my favorite shops.. Can get into way too much trouble! And I am bound and determined that 2013 is going to be the year I use more than I buy!

Oh that is sooo funny! I think you should list some websites…I live too far for away from any quiltshops to make a roadtrip this close to Christmas. I’m making the blueberry french toast this morning and those cookies you listed later today.

Thank you for a good laugh, Judy. =)

That’s the only logical thing to do. I mean, who can restrict fabric purchases? Not me! and apparently not you!

  10. 10

You always make me laugh! I will admit to stash enhancing Christmas Eve morning. After all, someone is doing a mystery and I needed the perfect fabric. :)
I’m so glad I unsubscribed from most of my quilt shop emails. In this case, what I don’t know won’t hurt my wallet. :)

  11. 11

    hahahahahahahaa way to go, Judy.

  12. 12

HIL-A-RI-OUS!!! Please — share some links!!

  13. 13

I checked my e-mail. No temptation there. I must shop at the wrong places!

  14. 14

OH YEAH!!!! if it wasn’t icey and snowy I would be out buying fabric for future quilts! maybe tomorrow.

I’m looking for some good sales!! Please share with me, I’m supposed to be working. I have another baby quilt to make and I heard this morning that her nursery theme is Snoopy. Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks.

well wouldn’t you know it?…my brother just called and needs a ride to the doctor tomorrow. it’s so sad, i have to past 2 quilt/fabric shops on the way to pick him up. we will pass them on the way to the doctor, on the way back to his place and I’m sure it will be killing me by then BUT on my way home, guess what I’ll be doing? yep…stopping at both places. I know one place is having a sale……

  17. 17

And here I thought you were going to make all those quilts just from you stash!!!! LOL
    Hugs!!!!

  18. 18

That is so funny! I just called my LQS only to have the phone ring and ring! I checked my emails and saw that my pal was staying closed today. I’m so okay with that but we are expecting a big giant snowfall tonight and tomorrow so I suspect she’ll be closed again. Boohoo!!!!
Okay….I have fabric. No need to panic!!

  19. 19

Seeing as we’ve been doing this giant renovation that was only supposed to be a new floor and a paint job, I haven’t even been sewing at all.. Needless to say, I have only been shopping for kitchen lights and appliances, no fabric here. I have enough already and my last stash report will say it all! Merry Christmas and I really hope you weren’t missing your son and family too much this Christmas.

LOL – Judy – I assume that you now have more purchased than used for 2012! ROFLOL C’mon girl – what are the numbers!!!!! (Interested minds – who WANT to go shopping and haven’t YET – want to know!)

  21. 21

    I am with you 100%
    glen

  22. 22

Thank you. Now I feel like I have permission to push that submit button!

  23. 23

can you please share the site? :)

  24. 24

Bought a little more that you planned???

  25. 25

    hahahahaha!

Lemme guess – you’ve bought “a few” yards of fabric, huh?

    Enjoy!

    BLM :)

  26. 26

That’s your story and you’re sticking to it! LOL!

  27. 27

thank you, thank, you, thank you! you’ve just given me the incentive not to push more buttons and load myself down with “just one more quilt to make before they run out of that fabric forever” buying.
after all, it stands to reason that if i already have 3 quilts out of that fabric, that should be enough….right?
can’t bust the stash if i keep on adding to it.
