Nicole’s quilt is kicking my back side. I got most of the setting triangles done yesterday. Once those are done, I’ll get started on the 25 chain blocks.
It takes up every square inch of my design wall and probably won’t all fit once the chain blocks are made. I don’t usually make quilts this big and now, I remember why.
I can’t wait to get some of the chain blocks made so I can see how it’s really going to look.

Still my favorite quilt
Those colors really speak to me! Can’t wait to see it done. You make beautiful quilts Judy.
Looking great! Love the colors you are working with in this one.
I love this quilt….it is so striking!!!!
Absolutely gorgeous!
They need a big quilt for the entire family to snuggle under! It is looking good! Cheers! Evelyn
Looking good , I can’t wait to see the chains added..it is very vibrant cheerful top.. I love the deep wine color..
Big quilts are hard to work with but OH so BEAUTIFUL
and appreciated when done..
heck, I am liking it just like that so far!!!
The blocks are beautiful!!!
Your work is fabulous, as always!
It’s beautiful… but I’ get what you are saying. I’m a lap size or smaller quilter. The thought of making hundreds of HSTs for a quilt makes me shudder!
It’s looking so beautiful already – it’s really going to be a stunner when you get the chains with it!
Nicole is so lucky to have you as a mother-in-law. Beautiful quilt from a beautiful lady!
Every time you add another photo of this quilt, I love it more!
Hi Judy – I am a new follower but enjoy your blog so much that I find if I miss a day, I wonder what you are up to and how you are! Love your quilts, hearing about your family and especially the chickens!
Judy, it is beautiful!!! I can’t wait to see more photos as it progresses. Does Nicole read your blog? Or, is this a surprise for her?
