This might surprise you a bit but I so much do not like the link boxes! On the other hand, I LOVE the link boxes. This just proves Vince’s point . . when we were first married and life at our house was a bit difficult, we were in the middle of a heated argument. Of course, I don’t even remember what we were arguing about and I guess I had said one thing and then said something else and he looked me straight in the eyes and said “You don’t know what the hell you want, do you?” Hmmm . . maybe . . or maybe not! We’ve come a long way!
Anyway, the link boxes frustrate me because it seems like everything works so well with them for weeks and then for a week or so, everything I do on there is wrong and the boxes don’t work right and people put in links to their main blog and not the specific blog post and I think I need to work my blog away from the link boxes.
But I love the link boxes because it helps me to get to see a whole lot of good stuff.
Sunday – Stash Reports - I love seeing how well or how not so well we’re all doing. Knowing that I have to report all the fabric that comes in makes me real careful about what I add. It also makes me want to work faster to get things done so I can report usage.
Monday – Design Wall Reports – I LOVE this one. It always gets me in trouble. When I should be sewing and finishing projects, I’m thinking of new things I could be doing.
Wednesday – What’s Cooking? – This is fun! I’ve found recipes I want to make. I’ve made some really good recipes. I hope you are trying new ingredients. Guess we’ll know next week, huh?
Thursday – Show Us Your Socks – All week I have to decide which socks will go up for my picture. I love all my socks and I’m loving seeing yours. I see yarns that I want to buy . . not good!
Remember that you can show any socks — they don’t have to be hand made.
Friday – On the Needles – This is so inspiring. I want to knit things besides socks but haven’t done much else. Seeing the projects has caused me to buy new patterns and a little (or a lot) yarn. I get so motivated seeing the projects.
On Tuesdays and Saturdays, we have no link boxes. I think Saturday is going to stay a “link box free” day but Tuesdays should have something. Don’t you think? But . . what?
Here’s the contest – think of something we can use for a link box on Tuesday — something fun! I’ll take the three or so that I like best and put it to a vote but I do get final say. Whoever submits the winning entry gets a $50 gift certificate to either Fat Quarter Shop or The Loopy Ewe — your choice. I’ll close submissions on Friday and will put the top three or so up for a vote on Saturday and will choose a winner on Sunday.

Gardening? Pets? Decorating? (Especially for seasonal events and with quilts) Fabric we’ve bought lately or covet? Or enlarge that and make it fabric and quilting or knitting equipment we want, like, or recommend. I kinda’ like that one..
I’m thinking a “stash report” on yarn would be good! ; )
PS I just spent about $150 at Fat Quarter this morning!
I think Tuesday’s should be for UFO report. A couple of blogs I follow designate one day a week to work on old stuff and finish it up. Seems to be a 2013 trend and I think it’s a great idea to motivate us to chip away at them.
How about a GADGET day, where we could all see what’s new or great in the sewing or knitt, ing or cooking world
I knew right away–Yarn stash report. I have been truing to figure out away to be more accountable!!
One continual aspect of your blog you haven’t covered yet would relate to the animals. Your dog, the chickens, the cows next door.
What about a furry/feathered friend antics post? I’m sure lots of people have animals that have silly amusing antics we just don’t know about. Maybe a picture type post link? I know I love seeing/hearing/reading about other people’s animals.
How about a show your finished quilt link -and could we count a top as a finished quilt so I could post once in a while. The final quilting after the top gets finished seems to take forever around here.
How about a “Post your Pet” linky box?
Or a “P and Q” – Pets and Quilts?!?
I love reading your posts about Speck and the chicken adventures, and all the other creatures you have discovered in Texas. I post randomly about my dog, and like to feature her in quilty photos…it might be fun to have regular updates.
How about a Most Recent Finish report? So many times we see the design wall or the needle reports and somehow miss the finished projects
What about a Tools & Tips linkup? We can share our favorite or new favorite Tools and how we use them, as well as any new Tips that have made our crafty lives easier and more fun! This could relate to any or your loves – quilting, knitting and cooking! I know I love finding new tools and picking up tips here and there that have revolutionized how I quilt. It would be great to have a “Go To” place to share that info with others!
I would think something that has to do with gardening. I see so many crafters also have interests in gardening. Maybe “What’s growing” or some other catchy name.
How about a day for Whatever You Want to Link. I have chickens but that would be done in 12 links. No other pets. I like taking pictures of wildlife, flowers, chickens, sewing, quilting, and cooking and would love to show them,
Tutorial Tuesday – posts that describe “how” we did/do something….favorite binding techniques, making HSTs, inserting a zipper into a bag, making strip sets, cooking rice, canning beets, etc. Could be any crafty or cooking technique.
how about a rotation of tools, tips, tutorials, and web trips (where one posts about their Top 5 favorite blogs, online stores, etc where you designate a topic)
I have Tiny Tuesday on my blog for small blocks.
What about Triumph Tuesday to show off anything that you are particularly thrilled about? pets or pictures or gardens or flowers or something quilty finished.
I was thinking “Around the Farm”. I love the outdoor stories about the gardening and chickens.
I see a couple of others have already considered what I was going to suggest: something to do with our pets or animals, because face it, I think most of us have them in some manner whether as fur-baby kids/grandkids, or farm/ranch animals, or just birds flitting by and we love to take pictures of them and write about them and include them on our blogs too. I think you’re going to have a tough decision as from the suggestions, there are some great ideas.
How about Helping Hands? something you are making or have made for a charity or a person in need?
Lots of great ideas rolling in, but my original thought was something to do with animals….best pets, funniest, barn yard critters and the list goes on. I think most of have a pet or two and I am sure you attract a lot of animal lovers. Have a great day!!
What about “Try Something New Tuesdays” Could be just a new way of doing something or using something in a new way?
U FODay would be great and force me to at least try to finish numerous projects one day a week.. Break from current project especially if it is a big one.
I think it would be fun to have Triumphant Tuesday, where we could link to posts about joyful events- anything from finally getting a new stove (boy do I need one!) to tackling reorganizing your sewing room. Things like reports on new chickens or a great day spent with your dog seem like they would be great for Triumphant tuesday as well.
Maybe a show and tell day. You could even pick a different theme for the week like local restaurant, pet, sewing tool, baby picture, etc. I love all your posts where I learn something new, especially about your local items. And I imagine I could learn a lot from your readers.
A coouple of ideas that reflect my focus for 2013:
UFO Progress Report,(already mentioned) or
an Un-Stash Report, where we report on items made completely (or nearly completely) out of Stash. or
a What’s New report…maybe a new tool, a new technique or pattern, etc.
Things I wanted to do, but didn’t
“Oh, The Places We Go” or want to go! Links to travel spots we would like to visit or have been to. Especially those with a quilty connection. Include local places we go frequently others will enjoy knowing about such as favorite restuarants, quilt shops, places to take grandkids of all ages.
Pets! I have 3 dogs and love seeing Speck.
I’d vote for “What’s Growing [Plants]“,
or “UFO of my week”, [to keep me working on them each week].
Biggest boo-boo of the week. This week mine was a cutting error that resulted in not enough fabric left for one of the borders. By sharing our “oops” it can help someone from doing the same, and it could give us a good laugh for the day. Would not have to be sewing related – anything to bring laughter into our day.
What if you did “Whatever You Want Tuesday” or something to that effect…it could cover gardening, quilting, knitting, animals, hand sewing, cooking, traveling, living on a farm or whatever..
What about “what are you reading” or “what’s on your bookshelf”. I’m alwaysnlooking for ideas that way. I also like the gadget or tool idea.
“Anything Goes” Tuesday. Just a day to link up whatever is new or interesting in your life, like new chickens, an inspired knit, the perfect quilt pattern, a great new charity, the best book you’ve read lately, or something like that.
What about Crockpot Tuesday? Something we’ve made in our crockpots and liked?
How about posting something that inspires you and what you do with that inpiration – act immediately or store it away for the future. It could be a book, a photo, artwork, a road trip, or even a TV program! I watch the show Hoarders whenever my house is getting messy. It inspires me to get up and clean!
What about Thankful Tuesday….It could be anything you are thankful about, a finished quilt, a child graduating school, a new batch of fabric, your pets, a new job, just about anything. I know I’ve always got something to be grateful about.
Já sei que tenho que arranjar mais tempo para a internet…São tão boas sugestões…Ma s se precisar de links lindos é só me mandar um email,eu tenho uma caixa cheia nos meus favoritos.Vocêquer saber por onde ando também???Beijos
.[email protected]
Gardening – DEFINITELY!!!! And especially if we are doing “heirloom” fruits and/or veggies – could also be a tie-in with preserving foods!
Re FQ – I’ve – uh – been guilty of aiding and abetting for a friend who is JUST STARTING to quilt – I gathered up a bunch of FQ this morning for her as well as some patterns I’ve either done or managed to duplicate! as well as a few orphan blocks – and am sending these her way to get her going! She is so depressed – just had gotten the ok from one doctor to go back to work when her specialist decided to x-ray her and found out she has NOT been healing AT ALL from a really bad elbow break. They have told her now to stay home for at least another month then see. She is soooooooo depressed and wants to do SOMETHING!
Who doesn’t get excited seeing new treat receipes and pictures? Something to inspire us – what’s in the oven!
(Unsolicitated feedback: I like this comment entry script font a lot. And the Post Comment button is hard to see as it blends with the background.)
How about completed projects on Tuesdays?
How about “Scrap Box Tuesday”? Post anything your working on using scraps. It could be scrap fabric, yarn, paper, or anything else! I love making stuff out of scraps!! It’s my favorite kind of project. It really pushes your creativity to use what you have. Hope you like my idea!!!
I didn’t take the time to read through all the comments so if I am giving a duplicate idea I’m sorry!! What about a “back to basics” day! It would include how we are spending our time more wisely and improving our own lives! Ideas that come to mind are food storage, spending more time with family or putting away our electronic devices! Good luck to everyone, I will be back after work to see the other suggestions!
I would like to see the next pattern you want to make-either knitting or quilting.
“What you’re reading Tuesday.”, be it a quilt magazine, novel, cookbook, etc. I like to know what others are reading and what they like about the book.
How about a quickie? Something that can be made in a day. It could include completed projects and ideas for items that can be made quickly for gifts and charity. People could share what they are working on, what they have completed or fun ideas for quickly made items that can be sewn, quilted or worked on needles etc…
What’s Growing in your Garden? I’d love to see what others are growing, flowers, vegetables or whatever. I bet the people in the cold and snow would love to see pictures of California flowers about now. The flowering plum trees have just started to bloom.
Just so it’s quilt related! I like others’ suggestions, UFOs, notions, patterns, books………
I have a couple of ideas. 1. favorite fabric, showing your new favorite fabric you want to try. 2. pampered pet Tuesday, a chance to share pictures of our pets. 3. Farm life fun, anything about farm lif.e
[email protected]
I like the idea of a “Yarn Stash Report” Something has to help me use up the boxes and boxes of yarn I have stashed in the closet!
I would love a how does your garden grow link. Of course, for those of us in the frigid north there won’t be much growing in the winter, but I love seeing what is growing in people’s gardens in other parts of the country (especially in the winter!)
True – we might live in the frigid north – BUT the garden catalogs are here – and that, to me, at least, is always entertaining – especially since I can then plan the garden of my dreams (unfortunately, my dreams do NOT include marauding squirrels, feasting pigeons and such!)
How about showing quilting done on a quilt. I’m now learning to quilt with a longarm, thought it would be fun to see how others are quilting their quilt tops.
How about the best of your week – something that grabbed you so much the previous week that you took a picture of it. It could really be in any category. The other idea I like is UFOs
Finished projects would be good.
How about “Frugal Find” – the best deal you got that week, could be food, fabric or just something for the house. I for one watch my pennies and when I come across something it would be fun to share!
How about book reviews? There are so many books out that it is hard to keep up!
I think it should be cute pet pictures. They always make me laugh! And it wouldn’t lead us into temptation, much…
How about “Sharing “Your” Good Life”… Let everyone link up and share whatever it is they want to share on Tuesdays be it quilts, knitting, cooking, animals, gardening… whatever… This leaves noone out at all… Some of us may not knit, some may not quilt, some may not garden..etc… There may be some who have been searching for a linky party to share what they do or love but have not found it yet… This linky party would take care of it all.
In my part of the world we refer to Tuesday as Taco Tuesday because a local restaurant has Taco plates on special on Tuesday. So maybe Tuesday could be Take Me to Lunch Tuesday and we could tell what we are having for lunch.
Wow, lots of good ideas…who knew we all liked linky boxes
I’m thinking a Stashbuster Tuesday – with tips on how to reduce your stash, like the scrappy trip around block everyone is doing, with emphasis on using what you have on hand thereby reducing the stash
Chicken Tuesday – your posts about your chickens are entertaining and FUN!
“”Tidy Up Tuesday”. . . a place where we could share our best tips on keeping the stash or supplies under control.
And you could show pictures of your tidy spaces.
I’m in the middle of re-organizing the basement and have decided that the sewing space I have is just not working. . .I’d love to see how other people address space/storage issues.
What about A little hit or short cut that you have found useful in cooking, gardening, sewing, knitting and so on.
It could be about cooking oatmeal putting some in cupcake tin,to freeze, then wrap them plastic, store them in the freezer. When you need a quick meal pop on in the micro. or maybe a sewing hint., when threading a needle don’t wet the thread wet the needle.
I think it would be nice to have a link to different tips, tricks, and tutorials that people have found on the web. just my 2 cents worth!
What kind of Notion you use most.
How about “Where I Live” Tuesday? Your blog readers come from all over the U.S. and other countries, and it would be fun to see photos from their locale, whether it’s at home or in the community – buildings, gardens, parks, landmarks, animals, projects, etc. You do a lot of that with your blog, and I find it very entertaining.
Years ago there was this photo shoot book that was published, and the idea was that on this specific day at a specific time, in every time zone a picture was taken depicting activities all around the world. It was evening, and there were pictures of church groups, square dancers. . .the list was endless and interesting. (Some pictures were staged timewise for more interest.) But the idea is that say on Tuesday we have to find one scene that expresses what is happening in our part of the world.
It could be kids playing on a trampoline, weather events, traffic, garden tilling, dog show, track meet or a state fair. Weather is interesting you may be boiling in your part of the world in June and in Wyoming they may be getting an old fashioned blizzard. Leave the topic open and set a time frame like this has to be happening a certain day or just the prevoius week. One picture, one event.
Hmmm….UFO’s or favorite Pinterest link?
How about “Tickled Tuesday” A pretty broad topic can be about anything … big or small that makes you happy. It can be an opportunity to celebrate and share joy. Lots of great ideas here, Judy. I would have a hard time choosing. Thanks for sharing with us.
Since you have followers from all over, how about quilt show postings. I’m always looking for quilt shows in my area, but there’s no one place I have found that has up-to-date listings.
How about… Just try it Tuesday!
a place to show off new skills or technics we have all been scared to try! I personaly would love a place to show my attemps and not feel bad because we’re attempting to master a new skill…. The feed back, positive or corrections as well as input from others would be nice.
Can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Tisha
Traveling Tuesday
post pictures of places you’ve been, postcards others have sent you
….even a little bit about going to the store, quilt or otherwise
any where you travel
When I think of Tuesday, I think “good news day” – whatever it might be. A lot of things could fit this category, or it could be narrowed down.
I like the “Triumph Tuesdays” idea, but the “Good news Tuesday” is appealing as well.
Not UFO,s, not on the design wall, not fabric – how about the pattern you are drooling over but you know you just can’t start until the UFO’s are finished and the design wall is empty!
I love seeing peoples homes – how they decorate – how they organize their stashes – where they put their quilts. How about My Home Tuesday? Links to a room or a decoration or an organization idea.
I believe that it needs to be something that can easily be ongoing – not run out of puff in a couple of months. So, I would suggest a day to celebrate our lives. In recent years, I’ve become very good at celebrating little things. My family and friends find it fun to watch me get excited about something that they might let pass by in their own lives without a second thought, but my view is that if we have to wait for Big Things to happen before celebrating, some of us will be waiting a long time. So, I’m advocating that each Tuesday we post about something small that’s happened during the past week that we’d like to celebrate. It might be the blooming of an annual flower, picking tomatoes off your own plants, the glorious feeling of finishing a great book from the library, having the self-discipline to go a day without eating chocolate, enjoying wearing new bright red shoes to the office. Anything at all that gives us a lift, makes life fun, or represents an achievement.
I think un-finished projects would be great. WE know we all have SOME of them.
Toot Your Horn Tuesday. This could be a day to brag about anything: husband, kids, a promotion, a quilt, a good dinner, a great pedicure. Anything! This might show up twice (maybe even thrice) because I had some issues!
Hmmm… Good question. You already have cooking, quilting, and knitting. What about books? I link up with “What’s on Your Nightstand” but it’s a monthly linkup and I would love the incentive to post more often on what I’m reading and see what others are reading. It’s fun to find new book recommendations!
UFO finishes maybe – not sure how you would do it but…, what you’re reading,
How about “Tuesday Tips”. Would link to a blog that would show your tip with pictures to explain.
How about a “re-purpose” or ” recycle” idea day. I’m trying not to be so wasteful and re-use items for my family.
I think a what’s for supper or dinner depending on where you are from and call it would be neat. Love your blog .
I like the idea of tips/techniques that could cover quilting & knitting/cooking and/or whatever else you’d like. Something like Tell Me How Tuesday or Tip Me Tuesday or TIPsy Tuesday.
How about a “Pay It Forward” Tuesday. Any tuesday you give something unsolicigted to someone, or do a service, post it for others to get ideas on something to pay it forward. We dida pay it forward on f.book for the first 5 people who respond to a post sometime throughout the year we will send something made with our little hands and send to them. What fun.
Wow. I tried reading the comments to see if anyone had already shared what I’m thinking, but I’m afraid I got impatient and decided to just start typing.
What about: an “Aaha” link box. So that when we learn something new, we could share that in a link box to our blog post about it. Something like what you did today with the Oatmeal Puck (oh my, I nearly wrote puke). Like something you think can be done or done better so you research or just try it and then “Aaha” it works or “Aaha, I didn’t know that I could do that.”
How about a ‘my most recent favorite quilt’ or other craft, such as knitting, etc project?
“Tuesday Treasures” would be a great way to share about things/products that you have in your home that you ADORE and want others to know about. Whether it is a superb face cream, a slick non-stick skillet, or your favorite & most comfortable new shoes. Or quilting/knitting notions, favorite yarns, etc…. Whatever you want to share with everyone!
BLM
Wow! So many really great ideas. My thought is Color My World Challenge. You give us a quilt pattern, maybe from one of your tutorials or just a pattern you like, and then we make a quilt using our own choice of colors. I am always amazed when I see a pattern made up in different color ways then shown on the package. Everyone can show their creativity in making the pattern their own.
How about Helpful Household Hints? It should include cleaning, cooking hints, saving $, everything that would make things easier, cheaper, & fun around the house.
Comment #74 had my first idea – I thought about your post regarding oatmeal where you said you used the saran wrap that you’d wrapped your oatmeal in to heat it up in the microwave. Instead of throwing something out, how did you use it a second time?
My second thought which I don’t see here is for us to post about a blog post that made us buy something or want to buy something. You’ve talked about how What’s on the Needles drives you to the Loopy Ewe. I’m sure we’ve all come across blog posts that just pushed us over the cliff and made us hit send!
Tutorials or Gardening – though for some of us the 2nd would be much more seasonal.
I think an UFO report link would be great….can use some help in this area!!
How does your garden grow???
Lots of things could be included. Planting, harvesting, canning, favorite veggies, controlling pest, etc.
Judy
Tips on Tuesdays – Things discovered, ideas to share, tools that are helpful – all things or tips that are inspiring or helpful. Thanks!
Another thought – why not just a “How I spent my Free Day” – complete with picture and text?
“What are you reading?” There are so many good reads available and so little time….
How about Thrifty Tuesdays? Money saving tips, make it yourself recipes and frugal ideas?
I vote for Thankful Tuesdays, or gadget/tool Tuesday.
Next I would love to “see” what people see out their “kitchen window” one day, Living room window another day,, bathroom window, car, bicycle, etc. Then switch topic once you/we think we’ve seen enough.
How about “baking day”. I would love to see what other people are baking, from cakes, cookies, bread etc.
two ideas….
1: finished quilts
2: “get it done” DONE
Hmmm, I love to see where all people are from, and the fun things that might go on there…so how about Let’s Travel Tuesday? And when people have exhausted links to fun things to do in their areas, they can link to fav quilt or yarn shops!
Well I read through most off the 100+ (wow!) ideas and didn’t see this so…. How about “deal of the week”, post the best sale, find , deal you found on whatever – groceries, yarn, fabric, household goods, etc. Would be nice to share where as well, so everybody can share in the savings. This one may not be good for you either!
One of the first things I do every day is tear off the page of my “365 Cats a Year” calendar. I never tire of looking at adorable pets. Why not have a “Cute Animal” link-up. Doesn’t have to be your animal, could be the beautiful lady cow over the fence!
I would like Tuesday Tips of anything quilting or knitting related.. Include book or magazine article recommendations or reviews (must be related to quilt/knit), tools, gadgets, notions, short-cuts, tips and ideas.
I think it should be called Tuesday Tutorials. Then every week someone can do a tutorial on something related to many things. Like gardening, quilting, cooking,or a joke for the day. I love reading your blog. It’s so interesting to see how other people live their lives. Makes my own not seem so terribly boring!!
hm…I initially was going to say garden then looked out my window and say snow.. How about an “on the home front” linky. It could be recipes…pets, garden. More of a what’s happening in your life…on the home front.
Inspired by Pinterest…Show the inspiration and the interpretation.
Pet pictures! And have caption contests… who can write the funniest caption to a pet pic.
How about “Tuesday Treats” – the treat could be anything we see as a treat and could be from any area – quilting knitting, tips, tutorials, finds, cooking, baking, gardening, pets, family, pictures of your sweet granddaughter)Endless possibilities and a focus on looking for those special things in our lives.
Wow, lots of great ideas! I really enjoy the links – it makes it quick and easy to visit other blogs! Maybe you could do the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Tuesday of the month – maybe that would be too complicated though? For example – 1st Tues. of the month is showing what you are doing toward your Christmas crafting, 2nd Tuesday what you are doing toward busting clutter and household hints (do this one and I will post my “skunk cure!”), 3rd Tuesday could be gardening plans, country living, etc. and 4th Tuesday could be end of month thankfulness – or something along that line! Whatever you decide, it will be fun! Cheers! Evelyn
I would love to have a small gift project day, showing small projects using scraps from quilts to make new quick and easy gifts.
I would like “Discovery Day”. It could be any number of things that are new to you and you would like to share with the blog – examples could be:
A particular story that is moving or inspirational
A sewing project that can benefit others along the lines of the quilts of valor
A small sewing project that can be fulfilling but takes a fraction of the time that it would take to make a quilt
A link to a new blog site that you have found inspirational.
Discovery Day would be very open ended but would point us to some of the best things available on the web.
Bcinindy
So many great ideas! How about Tipster Tuesday? Or Tip-Us Tuesday? Could be about any tip, tutorial or other great little idea concerning quilting, knitting, gardening, pets, books, cooking, organizing sewing rooms, husbands(!), grandkids, gadgets, canning, prepping, etc. Love your blog Judy!
I think photo ops – whether its our children or grandchildren, a beautiful sunrise or sunset, or a cow peeking over a fence – I’ve seen some amazing shots both on your blog, and some of the other blogs when I’ve followed one link, then stayed and visited some different pages. The page could just be “shot of the week” – not necessarily having anything to do with crafting – or it could – but since the link would clearly show what the picture was – it will be quick and easy to decide which ones you want to visit (that smiling grandbaby, or maybe a newborn calf) and which ones you don’t.
I’m thinking “Tuesday Tips” would be good. The tips could be about anything really,,,sewing, quilting, gardening, cooking, tools….
“A Day In The Life” where we can post an interesting photo and maybe a short summary of something crazy or amazing that happened that week. Another way to go would be something like “The Picture Says It All” where followers would just post a picture with no text! Now that could be fun!
There sure are a lot of ideas here! Wow! My 1st thought was to show the finished quilts from the Design Wall day. Quilting makes such a difference in the quilt.
Tip or tutorial Tuesday. Tips and Tricks.
How about working on a big goal such as I want to live in the country or I want to learn to knit socks and talk about your progress towards your goal.
WITH THE NEWS FILLED WITH NEGATIVE NEWS HOW ABOUT DEDICATING A DAY FOR PEOPLE TO SHARE GOOD DEEDS THEY HAVE EXPERIENCED, EITHER PERSONALLY OR WITH ANOTHER PERSON. IT MIGHT TURN INTO A “PASS IT FORWARD’ MOVEMENT AND EMPHASIZE THE GOOD DEEDS WE ARE NOT AWARE OF AND BECOME INSPIRED!!!!
Ephemera Tuesday, something you want to share; the book you love, the new technique, the new yarn, the boo boo, the aha moment, the pet, the old UFO finished. I think picking only one of the subjects mentioned could be boring for those you don’t garden for instance or like pets. But if we all share something that is significant to us it will be interesting and eclectic.
Celebration Day. – a chance to celebrate the positive. Things that have happened in the last week. A birthday, anniversary, finished project, something done for another person, 6 months cancer free, a soufflé that didn’t fall.
I think a Tuesday Treasures would be a good idea. It could be anything that we feel good about. Quilting and sewing, pets, food, inspirational thoughts and ideas, gardening—just whatever makes you happy. I think this would get a great variety of things and a lot of interest. Thanks for letting us input our ideas, love your blog most of all, blessed be, hugs!!!
I love the link boxes. Such inspiration. Some suggestions for Tuesday. – UFO progress Report / Xmas Gift Prep report / A Finish Report / UFO Completion
I have been thinking hard since you announced this contest and my suggestion incorporates several that I have read from the comments but I have a name suggestion too—-Let’s call it T-Squared Tuesday (Tips and Tutorials)!! It will be a wonderful day to learn from one another.
I always love to read tips from real quilters, knitters and cooks. It could highlight something as simple as the easiest way you know how to make half squared triangles to the latest cooking tool you can’t live without. It would cover all aspects of creativity from quilting, sewing, cooking, knitting, crocheting (I crochet but don’t knit…..I still use yarn and want to learn more about it). I think this would be a GREAT addition to your blog. A day to learn from one another.
Not reading the other comments… but my first thought was an “Under the Needle” link up. Where we show what we’re working on at the sewing machine.
“Out My Back Door”
This could be animals, such as chickens or wildlife such as deer. Gardening, like flowers or what’s sprouting in the garden. Weather, snow storm or drought pics. Or even the quilt hanging on the deck railing or socks walking across the deck. Each week you could guide us a direction to post or just have a free for all!
You are one of the most productive people I’ve ever “met”, so I’d love to learn more about your quick and efficient quiltling methods.
Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!
Joanna
I think a what are you reading link!
Wow. A lot of great ideas. My idea was a “get it done Tuesday” that you could call “Working on my PhDs” – projects half-done. (The phrase came from a t-shirt). It could be any sort of project.
