Nicole’s New Beginnings Blocks Done

The blocks are all done and I’m leaving them on the design wall til I can get the top sewn together.  I do not want to try to get these colors all back in the right spot.

Nicole’s Blocks

Once the chain blocks were up, I realized that the gold bear paw blocks I had made, even though the two golds weren’t the same, the colors were too similar.  Since I had 7 extra blocks, I pulled the gold ones and then randomly pulled out 5 others.

I’m glad to get these blocks done.  They can sit on the design wall for a few days.  Next thing I need to do is get the 3rd QOV top done . . if I sew like a crazy woman tomorrow and Tuesday, I should be able to get that top done by the end of Tuesday, then get my Comfort and Joy Block #1 done and then . . my January goals will be finished . . with a day or two to spare.

awesome blossom. This is magazine worthy. Could you do this as a mystery? We won’t spill the beans.

Beautiful quilt Judy! I wonder tho…..in the third row of complete blocks, I wonder if you might want to switch the darker maroon (?) colored block and lighter blue block. Put the blue where the maroon one is and the maroon one where the blue is. Please don’t think I’m telling you what to do because you are definitely the quilting queen but being that the maroon blocks are a little darker, you’ve got two of those blocks together diagonally and that’s the spot where my eyes want to go to. Just a suggestion.

Re the January goals – I’ve got my QOV to do too as well as quilting my son and dil’s couch quilt and the Weave it to me (that I may have a buyer for!) and the placemats as well! Today I’m working on the placemats and another mini quilt and setting up for son and dil’s quilt to work on tomorrow!
