This is the Into the Whirled, Pakokku Sock Yarn, color is Fierce & Flawless. This yarn may be my new favorite! I cannot stop knitting once I start . . I’m so excited to see what the colors are going to do. I finished up my first ever Into the Whirled socks last week.
Last night I cast on the Fierce & Flawless. Look at those colors! Pink, yellow, gold, purple, burgundy . . gorgeous colors! I am using Knitter’s Pride Cubics (dpn), size 2.25 mm. I cast on 64 stitches. In the socks from last week, I had cast on 60 stitches, also using 2.25 mm needles. The extra 4 stitches were added hoping to create more pooling.
I’m not even sure if this is called pooling or if there’s another word for it. Here’s the front of the sock so far:
Here’s the back of the sock, compared to one of the Into the Whirled socks I finished last week.
I am so loving this yarn and the way it knits up.

OMG, I love this! I will not look, I will not look……….
We call them puddles or puddleing. But since you get very little rain you might not know what a puddle is! LOL
I think without a doubt these are my favorite socks you have made….LOVE LOVE how that yarn is creating the ombre spooling effect!
Oh NO!!! I have a skein of this colorway too and that is EXCACTLY the look I’m hoping to get. I have another sock on the needles now but I will be hurrying to finish it off so I can cast on Fierce & Flawless — oh I can not resist this temptation – LOL!
Love the look of this yarn. I’m knitting a pair toe up on circular needles. Only my second pair using these needles.
Going to ckeck out this yarn you are using.
You are just a knitting whirlwind!
Oh, wow! What gorgeous socks! So different from the other pair. It’s fun for us, too, to see what you get, so I am happy you just can’t stop.
oh wow! I just love this – the pooling is magnificent! I can see I will be a true addict to pooled yarn! LOVELY!
Absolutely love those colors!! Hope they get more of that colorway or I will be very jealous of you.
Oh my – what a difference 4 stitches (cast on) makes! Wow. I love the effect you’re getting so far, and those colors are fabulous!
