On Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays, as long as there are several updates, I’ll post a link box so you can share your progress. Any questions will be answered on the “Questions” page that can be found on the right sidebar under “Dreambird Project”. If you ask a question, please go to the Questions page for your answer.
We’re using the Dreambird pattern that can be purchased through the link. The instructions look difficult but the project is not and the finished Dreambirds are gorgeous so don’t be afraid to try it if you’re a knitter.
Five feathers are finished. Here’s another tip from me: If something doesn’t seem right .. double check everything. This morning Vince had gone to work and I had no distractions of any kind and I screwed up that 5th feather and had to rip back about 25 rows. When I first picked up the feather color on that one, it seemed the distance I was carrying the yarn was way farther than it had been on the other feathers. I kinda glanced at it but didn’t pay much attention. Then I ran out of increases about 4 rows before I should have and just finished I’d forgotten to click the counter so I kept going but then when I finished the feather, it was way smaller than the others . . obviously way smaller. I ripped it all out at the point where my clicker said I was on Row 29 but when I re-knitted the ripped yarn, I got to the end of that yarn on Row 25 so somewhere along the way, I missed about 4 rows. If something doesn’t look right . . figure it out .. don’t keep going and make it worse. That’s the voice of experience speaking.
