It seems like yesterday! I rarely take my phone to bed with me and when I got up that morning, it was a while before I looked at my phone and saw that I had several messages from Chad . . telling me Addie was here!
And now . . she’s three.
She’s such a fun little girl to be around. I wish I could see her every day . . and though I don’t get to see her every day, Nicole is the best about making sure Addie and I chat just about every day.
As of today, her greatest accomplishment: Her grandpa (not Vince) has taught her to spit! Every time we video chat, she says “Mommy, bring Granny outside so she can watch me spit!” NO! Granny does not want to watch you spit! 🙂
This morning we video chatted and then I needed to ask Nicole something and I called her. Addie answered and she knew it was me because my picture came up on the phone and she was saying “I only like to video chat with Granny!” She didn’t want to talk to me on the phone. Times have certainly changed, haven’t they? I would have been so happy if my grandparents had a phone, and when they finally did get a phone (I was in high school), long distance charges were high so we could only talk quickly. Now, we can video chat all day if we want to.
The other day I was video chatting with Chad and Addie wanted to tell me something and she said “I want Granny!” Chad handed her the iPad and she did whatever she wanted to do and then she said to Chad . . you can have Granny back! I feel so special. 🙂
Anyway . . she’s now 3 years old and I know before I catch my breath, she’ll be 10 and then graduating from high school. The time passes way too quickly and I miss her (all of them) so much!

They do grow up too fast. Our twin grand-babies will be two in about six weeks and they are just so much fun! They just left here about an hour & a half ago and I miss them already.

And she is such a pretty little 3 year old too! They do grow up fast. I never understood why My Mom said that about my son but now I understand perfectly.

They do indeed grow up too fast. Our Amanda graduated high school this year and going to college next week. It was just a few years ago she was so small—-Addie is absolutely adorable standing there in her pink dress with her scooter. It is wonderful you can spend time “chatting” with her. Hope you have a nice long visit with the family next month.

How wonderful that you get to “talk” every day…..You’re so right – they do grow up SO fast and before you know it, they’re an adult (or almost, in the case of my grandkids). Happy Birthday, Addie

I love this picture of Addie! Oh boy, is she gonna be a heart-breaker! Watch out boys!

She looks just like an angel. She looks older than 3 with her hair pulled back and her beautiful pink dress. I bet those purple streamers on her scooter are all the rage. It’s is wonderful that you can video chat with her so often.
