On the knitting needles at the moment are two things: First, I’m doing the swatch for the Tallulah cardi that I will make for MadMay.
Second, I haven’t done much knitting on my 14 Carat Poncho and am obviously putting it on the back burner during May and probably for the summer if I’m doing Camp Loopy. I will finish it but I’m at the part now where it’s mindless knitting so I can pick it up between projects.
Off the needles this week is a Rainbow Trout hat made for Loopy Academy extra credit. This is such a fun and quick pattern and offers a variety of sizes – infants to adults, as well as instructions for fingering, DK and worsted weight yarns. I can see myself making a lot of these. I often order an extra skein of yarn just to be sure I don’t run out and this little hat will be perfect to knit to use up the extra yarn and provide a matching hat for the sweater or to be given as a donation hat. The yarn is Socks that Rock Heavyweight and the color is Clickety Clack, a Loopy exclusive. I love a tightly twisted yarn and this yarn was one of my favorites to work with.
