There are so many feral cats in the woods. I went out yesterday afternoon and this little guy was eating at Cat’s bowl.
Compared to Boots and Cat, he’s a little guy. Not sure what he was looking at. Cat might have been in the tree overhead.
He spotted me, but not before I got a good picture, and off into the woods he went. That’s a sweet little face . . but I think we’re about to be overrun with cats! It’s a sad situation with no good options and I feel bad for all the cats.

Is there a rescue group who can trap, neuter and release the cats? If you get a small but stable feral cat population, you’ll have a lot less snakes, mice and scorpions.

I feed the whole neighborhood of cats! (And opossums and raccoons) Feral population lives here in town–that’s where I adopted my boys.

Party’s at the Laquidara Farm! Doesn’t take them long to figure out who will feed them.

I, too, was going to suggest you look for a trap/neuter/release program. They have lots of them here and then they even care for the feral colonies.. make sure they have food and shelter. It should not be a cost to you.
And then, you could enjoy them without worrying about a population explosion. good luck.

My hubby just found a whole pile of kittens under our neighbor’s shed this morning. We’ve had several feral cats around for a few years, but this is the first time in probably 20 years that we’ve seen a bunch of kittens. Guess we’re in the same boat!

How sad…we have a feral population here as well in western Colorado. So many are abandoned , its a shame people get a pet then abandon it.
How nice of you to help them out and feed them a wee bit .. Take good pictures so we can see the beauty of the cats.
