Last night, obviously I stayed up way late. It was time to go to bed and there was lots of lightning and thunder. I’ve always been the one to stay up with Rita because Vince had to get up and go to work and I didn’t have to. If we were already asleep, he’d get up with her because I would hear her panic when it thundered. So, last night Vince started to go to bed and he said “Do you think Rita is going to be scared?” She had not shown any indications of being afraid. I said I’d stay up. She never once indicated she heard thunder and there was a good bit of it. Hours after the thunder had passed, I was still up knitting.
After reading all the comments on my brioche obsession post, I decided to find some videos and watch them. I came across The Unapologetic Knitter’s post about how to do one color flat brioche (as opposed to knitting in the round . . I think . . I haven’t gotten that far!). Hmmm, I think I can do that!
It isn’t perfect so please don’t look too closely but I did it!
Then I saw her two color flat knitting brioche instructions and decided to try that.
Don’t ask me why that picture is so small. That’s the pink dominant side.
This is the green dominant side. Pretty cool, huh?
There are mistakes in this one too but I think I’m ready to knit a brioche hat!
