Yesterday I was sitting at the car place while my car was being inspected, reading email on my phone. There it was . . the email I didn’t need to see . . Eat, Sleep, Knit had a flash challenge going on: buy six skeins of the same Malabrigo yarn and the sixth skein is free. I put yarn in my cart while sitting at the auto place, then I remembered . . I don’t need to be spending money; I don’t need any more yarn. And then . . i remembered . . anything I order now is probably going to arrive while I’m gone and I don’t need to hear about that so, I opted not to place the order.
I got home and told Vince . . it’s a good thing I remembered our budget because ESK has a deal if you order 5 skeins, the sixth one is free. He said “You should order yarn! I ordered something today!” I didn’t even ask what . . went straight to the website and ordered yarn. How’s that for sticking to the budget? Not so good .. I know. Maybe next month we’ll do better.
Here’s what I ordered:
Hollyhock to make Stonecutter.
Matiss Blue to make Rye .. maybe. Still not sure about that one.
This one is Yerba. Not sure what I’ll make with it. I love this color. I have it here for another project and every time I look at it, I say “I love that color!”
I think that’s enough to keep me busy for a while.

It will be enough until….the next sale. I could possibly start my own store….quilting fabrics, cross stitch and rug hooking. That reminds me….I need to order that new rug pattern.

Judy, Stonecutter and Rye are gorgeous! I never wear pullover sweaters, though, so will stick to falling in love with cardigan patterns. Our new sock pattern just arrived as well and I already had a yellow yarn that will be perfect. So many projects, so little time!

Those are all beautiful! I guess he wanted to “justify” his purchase! LOL
Susan says
Those are all beautiful colors. I know you will find good projects for them eventually.

Good thing I missed the flash challenge!

I am married to a man who literally never buys anything…since my surgery, all my purchases are on line and he gets the mail…not a good combo. I don’t drive since I’m on pain meds so I literally (other than haircuts where he doesn’t go in) am always with him since retirement. I love it except for the one thing…he doesn’t say much, but it was so much easier when I used cash!
