One of my favorite classes to teach is my Borders class. In the class, we discuss the typical topics regarding borders, including avoiding rippling and waving. But, since pieced borders are something I love to do, I also have a handout “Making A Border Fit” which has calculations for determining how to make blocks fit into your border.
Feel free to download the handout (in .pdf format) for your personal use. Don’t panic when you see it. Take each step, one step at a time. Don’t worry about step 2 til you’ve done step 1. I promise it will work!

Thanks for the down to earth directions! Any tips to choosing lay outs would be appreciated.
