Patterns for Free

I have several published patterns, under the name “Designs by Judy Laquidara”. From this page, you will be able to get to free patterns that I offer from time to time. For various reasons, a pattern may be up today and then gone after a month or so. Because a pattern is available for free today, doesn’t mean it will be available for free forever.

There will be several ways to get to my free patterns. You can get to them from my main webpage, Sunshine Quilts, or you can get to them through the blog (this page).

  1. Catch a Spinning Star - this pattern consists of nine patch block blocks set together so that the points from the stars do not have to match the points of other stars. The borders are simple, non-pieced borders. Finished size is 77″ x 92″.
  2. Pink Poinsettias - this quilt can be made from the stash. I’ve also included an EQ drawing of a patriotic version. This is a quick quilt and it doesn’t have to be just for Christmas. Finished size is 81″ x 93″.
  3. Buttons & Bows - A cute and quick little throw or baby quilt.  Pieced sashing gives the appearance of bows hanging on a ribbon.  Finished size is 48″ x 60″.

That’s a beautiful quilt, in Vicky’s colors and in yours. This could be a summer project - as soon as I finish the last one!

    Judy,
Happy winter…school’s closed so I get the day to play at home with fabric and dreams. Do so enjoy your quilts, patterns, and stories!
You were doing the ‘hour a day’ patterns. There was a lovely purple one. I bought fabric for it and didn’t get to start it. Now I have a little time today to start cutting, but don’t remember how long ago it was on your blog or where to look. Story of my LIFE! You have this so organized (WOW), could you point me in the right direction? With many thanks…

Judy, I just wanted you to know how much help you have been to me. I have just bought a longarm quilting machine and before hand I read all your articles more then once on “do I want a longarm quilting machine.” They were wonderful and helped me to look ahead to see what I wanted and where I wanted to go with my machine. I am sooo excited to get my machine here and set up. Thanks so much for the guidence and suggestions on how to proceed. I enjoy reading the blogs and am using the idea’s on using up my stash. Thanks so much. Sandy K

Judy-love your words of wisdom-your book et al. Was looking at quilting prices and noticed your example said 7o” x whatever (?)=6800 ft. give or take( I can’t remember) Isn’t it “inches”?

I started a log cabin quilt about 15 years ago and have the pieces all cut some of it sewn but now all I have is the black and white picture of it. It was published on page 103 of some magazine and created by judy woods of Torrence, CA with the original pattern called josephs coat but it was designed as Victorian Navajo then the lady (long gone from here) named her version “Navajo Autumn” Have you ever hear of any of these designs or people? I finally have a sewing room and long to finish the quilt but am a bit lost at this point. Please help if you can. Much thanks,

    Margie

I am sure this is not the place to be asking, but help me find your recipe for the blackberry wine cake we had at RIM. I’ve been searching for somewhere to ask and I am just a blog newbie I guess because I can’t find it. I have joined the limegreenkitchen, but still can’t find it.
