That’s a beautiful quilt, in Vicky’s colors and in yours. This could be a summer project – as soon as I finish the last one!
Judy, thank you soo much! What a beautiful pattern. You are amazing!
Judy,
Happy winter…school’s closed so I get the day to play at home with fabric and dreams. Do so enjoy your quilts, patterns, and stories!
You were doing the ‘hour a day’ patterns. There was a lovely purple one. I bought fabric for it and didn’t get to start it. Now I have a little time today to start cutting, but don’t remember how long ago it was on your blog or where to look. Story of my LIFE! You have this so organized (WOW), could you point me in the right direction? With many thanks…

Judy, I just wanted you to know how much help you have been to me. I have just bought a longarm quilting machine and before hand I read all your articles more then once on “do I want a longarm quilting machine.” They were wonderful and helped me to look ahead to see what I wanted and where I wanted to go with my machine. I am sooo excited to get my machine here and set up. Thanks so much for the guidence and suggestions on how to proceed. I enjoy reading the blogs and am using the idea’s on using up my stash. Thanks so much. Sandy K
Where are you in MO? We’re having the Kaye Woods Quilting Friends Quilt Retreat in Conway Mo, on April 17-21. We’d love to have you attend or just drop in!

I love your “Catch a Spinning Star” ! and hope to make it soon. Thanks for providing the pattern. Interesting blog!
Pink Poinsettias looks fun to make!
Judy-love your words of wisdom-your book et al. Was looking at quilting prices and noticed your example said 7o” x whatever (?)=6800 ft. give or take( I can’t remember) Isn’t it “inches”?
Love your site and do what to thank you for the free patterns. Can’t wait to give them a try.
Amei seus trabalhos!1 Ilove your works!! Very nice!1
Por Favor – Ayuda me. My son is engaged to a lovely Brazillian woman and I want to make a wedding quilt. I was hoping to find a pattern from Brazil but have only found embroidery patterns. I don’t know how to embroider. Do you know of one? Gracias.

I started a log cabin quilt about 15 years ago and have the pieces all cut some of it sewn but now all I have is the black and white picture of it. It was published on page 103 of some magazine and created by judy woods of Torrence, CA with the original pattern called josephs coat but it was designed as Victorian Navajo then the lady (long gone from here) named her version “Navajo Autumn” Have you ever hear of any of these designs or people? I finally have a sewing room and long to finish the quilt but am a bit lost at this point. Please help if you can. Much thanks,
Margie
I am sure this is not the place to be asking, but help me find your recipe for the blackberry wine cake we had at RIM. I’ve been searching for somewhere to ask and I am just a blog newbie I guess because I can’t find it. I have joined the limegreenkitchen, but still can’t find it.

I love your BOM but I missed block 3. Is there anyway I could still get the pattern?
I just can’t get Daisy Star to open, even though I had no problems with the other three. It keeps saying that file is damaged.
I also tried downloading the latest version of Adobe reader, but no difference.
The Road to Brownwood really has a Wow factor! I love all the secondary patterns these blocks make. Thank you for sharing these special patterns with us.
I shared the link on facebook, thanks for the patterns
Hi Judy,
I want to know what you rulers and tools you would recommend to a newbie quilter? I want to make a quilt but feel overwhelmed by all of the different designs and angles. Any guidance you can give me will be appreciated. I love your quilts and hope one day I can write that “I made this quilt!”. Thank you.
I love the last quilt-the Brown quilt and want to make it for my
son. The only problem is that I can’t seem to download the
directions for that particular quilt. Can you help me? Thanks so much.
Hi Judy,
I was cleaning out my studio and came across a pattern from the Sunshine Quilters website from September 2002. I think it was yours. It’s a combination Jacob’s Ladder with a star and something else. It was a really cute pattern and I would like to make it again. Unfortunately, something spilled all over it and it is mostly unreadable. Is it somewhere on the Internet still?
