Retreat 2012
There will be a quilting retreat in central Texas
Dates: Arrive Thursday, February 16 and Depart Sunday, February 19
Location: Lake Brownwood, TX
Information about the retreat, along with pictures of the rooms can be seen here.
Things to know:
- The participants will be limited to 40 due to the sewing room capacity.
- There is a $25 fee that needs to be paid and this will reserve your spot. Info is here.
- The spots will be filled in the order in which checks are received. If we have more than 40 interested in attending, a waiting list will begin once the first 40 checks have been received.
- The room rates are $69 + tax. All rooms are non-smoking with two double beds. There may be an additional charge for more than two persons per room.
- No activities are planned! This is a retreat where you bring your own projects and sew til you cannot sew any more.
- Continental breakfast will be available. Other meals will be on your own. The $25 will cover the cost of snacks, deli meats and we may choose to eat one meal per day in the sewing room in order to keep sewing.
- There will be some optional field trips – one to a quilt shop in a neighboring town and one to my house.

Judy, I’m waiting on new checks. I can do Paypal if you need right now. I think my checks will be in next week. It’s horrible to be w/out checks. This has never happened to me but since I retired in July, I haven’t been writing many and didn’t realize I’d used the last booklet. I don’t have a debit card, only credit, so it’s been a crock having to run to the bank (20 mi) every
time I need money. I do want to come, my girlfriend is coming w/me. I’ll pay for everything when I get my checks. Please hold my space. If you want my cc, I can do that.
thanks, Hilary
If anyone from SC is interested in going, I’ll drive …
Sounds like a wonderful retreat; I really wish I could go, but I will be giving birth around that date, but I will be looking for this maybe for next year!
Oh my gosh…I wish i could go! I’ve never seen something like this advertised in the U.K. Alas, Texas is a tad far for me to travel…
Have fun everyone!
Is the retreat full? Please let me know. Thanks.
Judy, I really want to come, but it looks like family plans will get in the way. I hope ya’ll have
a great time and you will do this again, so I can come. I love retreats and get so much done!
I just bought your pieced borders book and am having a wonderful time picking out borders
I want to add to my next quilts.
Thank you for your work,
Sherry

Hi Judy,
Hey, remember me? I’m a voice outta yer past. You graciously invited me to sew with you at the cabin in North Georgia……what about 14 years or so ago….
You’ve gotta be a PRO at moving by now! Surprised to see you’re now in Texas.
Just today I ordered your new book….looking forward to learning new and different border treatments.
How old is Chad now? Oh my gosh, so much time has flown by.
All the best.

I am starting to get excited as the time nears. I have my project cut out and ready. Now if I can remember everything I need but not bring the kitchen sink.
I will be driving in from North of Abilene if anyone needs to carpool.
