Design Wall Monday – March 8

It looks like I didn’t get much done since last Monday and I didn’t get much done on this quilt but don’t forget . . I’ve been binding up a storm!  What I did accomplish is getting all of the blocks made for my Cupcake quilt.  It doesn’t take long sewing in hotels and at mom’s to make me really, really appreciate my sewing room at home.  I’m happy to have been able to sew at places besides home but . . there’s no place like home!

Please share what’s on your design wall or floor or . . what was on it any time during the week.

Design Wall Monday – February 15, 2010

Little four patches on my design wall.  It was from earlier this week as my design wall is an empty slate today.

Please share a link to the blog post with what’s on your design wall!

Design Wall Monday 1-18-10

Why is it that I have been finishing project on Saturday and having to scurry to get something on my design wall for a picture to post on Monday?  Yes, I could post something from any time during the week but mostly you’ve already seen that and I want something new or something that has progressed since you last saw it.

Here’s the beginning of Blueberries & Cream.  This one will have 35 – 12″ blocks and no borders.

What’s on  your design wall?

Design Wall Monday

From the number of great stash reports we had yesterday, I’m hoping to see lots of design walls today!

For my own design wall, I’m showing what you’ve already seen on the blog.  I got all the blocks finished but they’re actually off the wall now because I had planned to get them all sewn into rows yesterday but that didn’t happen so there’s nothing on my design wall at this moment.  I will maybe (BIG maybe!) get this top finished today . . depending on how much time I get to sew.

Please share what’s on your design wall.  Don’t forget to make sure your link is to your specific blog post and not to your main blog.  For me, the link is not http://www.patchworktimes.com but whatever the link to this post is.  To find that out, make your blog post, then go back to your blog once that post is published, click on that title and copy that address.  The reason I ask you to do that is if you post other entries on your blog, and someone comes along on a later date and wants to look at all the design walls, links to main blogs will go to that blog and the reader will see whatever you happen to be talking about that day  . . not your design wall.

Thanks!!

Design Wall Monday – December 28, 2009

One of my goals for 2010 is to make more scrappy quilts.  I don’t save small pieces but as my yardage declines (am I optimistic or what?), I want to be able to make quilts that use more bits of this and pieces of that.  Here’s one that took a lot more thought than it should have.  First . . it’s as scrappy as it gets for me and second, it’s not brights.  Maybe brights compared to some but there’s really no glow in the dark lime green or orange in there.  Another goal is to make more masculine quilts.  The orphanage in Louisiana needs more boy quilts than girl quilts and I figure most QOV’s will go to men but I think you’d be surprised to know what a struggle it is for me to use “man” colors.  But . . I can do anything I want to do, right?  So I can make masculine colored quilts and I can make scrappy quilts . . and I will do it!

Here’s what’s currently on my design wall.

What’s on your design wall?  Thanks for sharing your project with us.
