Finish #13

Another one that was done except for the binding.  Now it’s done and in the pile going to the Houma Guild.

Now tell me . . all that complaining about me using that Spiral Square panto . . it looks absolutely gorgeous on this quilt, doesn’t it?

Finish #12

Anyone tired of seeing finished quilts yet?  Maybe yes . . since you’ve seen all these quilts through the process of making them.  All the ones I’m showing now just had the binding left to be done but they’re not finished til they’re finished . . and I’m getting them finished slowly but surely.

Here’s #12 for the year.

This one goes to the Houma guild to be donated to the children’s home.  This is a trial version of a quilt I did for Sew Batik for a line of their new batik last year.  It’s available on the AQS website.

Finish #11

Another one that just needed the binding done.

The EQ file can be downloaded from the sidebar but really .. it’s so simple you don’t need a pattern so don’t fret if you don’t have EQ.

Another one going to the orphanage in south Louisiana.

Finish #10

All it required to get it finished was binding but it’s done.

If anyone notices — I see that my stamp still says 2009.  I didn’t realize I hadn’t made one for 2010 on this computer yet.  I’ll do it later . .

Anyway, this quilt is Blueberries & Cream with no borders at all.  It’s about 60″ x 84″ and will go to the Houma, Louisiana guild for donation to a local orphanage.

Quilt for a Worthy Cause

I’ve blogged about it before but Bingo-Bonnie has a post on her blog now about the quilt being used to raise funds to help the Bridge City, TX library, which was heavily damaged by Hurricane Ike.  Check it out and if you’re so inclined, Bonnie has the info on how you can get your chance to win this quilt and help a worthy cause. While looking at the damages,  this picture got my attention . . but it wasn’t the damage.  It was the bridges!  Ughh!

Quilt for Fort Hood

Last week on the Heartstrings list, I read a message about quilts being collected to send to Fort Hood. We were directed to Cherri House’s blog where I read more about it.  Several quilts are in my “to be finished” stack that were destined to be sent to Alycia for QOV quilts so I brought one of those along with me, finished the binding by hand and sent it off to Fort Hood.

I was so glad this quilt was almost ready and I was able to send it along for this project and I’m hoping it brings comfort to one of the injured or to a family member who lost a loved one.
