Sunny Side Up–Instructions #2

For today’s instructions:

1. From the background fabric and the light gold fabric, cut 3 – 1-5/8” strips.

2. Sew the strips together to make 3 strip sets.

3. Press the seam allowances towards the light gold fabric.

4. Cut those strip sets into 72 – 1-5/8” segments.

5. Sew those 72 segments into 36 four patches. They should measure 2-3/4” square (unfinished size).

6. You may again want to fan those center seams.

These four patches can get a bit monotonous but once we’re done with them, this top will fly together.

Finish #11

Another one that just needed the binding done.

Another one going to the orphanage in south Louisiana.

Design Wall Monday 12/21/09

Didn’t get a lot of sewing time this week.  Finished all the four patches and if you remember from last week, there was one really dark blue one that was much darker than everything else so I replaced it.  Started adding some of the black and white triangles to complete the secondary design.  Photo was taken with cell phone so . . sorry if it’s kinda blurry.
